I got a bone to pick with the punishment system.

So I've recently got punished for the first time over some comments I made in a recent game. Yes yes i get it, I'm a bad boy, but my issue is with how the situation was handled. While yes I said some inappropriate stuff, they have failed to mention ANYTHING about what the other players were saying. It only showed me the log of "the naughty things i said" (I was trolling the enemy team because they wanted us to report their zed who was carrying them hardcore because he was responding to them harassing him which I get), and completely left out the 6 times 2 different enemy players told us to kill ourselves, the multiple times they cussed us out, the "death threats", and just basically ABSOLUTE toxicity and I dont see how this...

Me trolling some angry kids who were giving me attention cause THEY couldn't control THEIR emotions, is worse than Teemo Chogath Galio telling me to kill myself, calling my team garbage, cussing every other sentence/word, raging in all caps calling for our heads to roll, insulting our mothers lol. I get I could have muted them but i was having fun, and they could have JUST as easily muted me. Also, i reported them too and have yet to see ANY response or punishment, but dont worry, atleast im off the streets right? I mean, ONE report is equal to 9 right?

It doesn't matter WHY you got toxic all that matters is you did, you get punished for YOUR behavior because YOU control it.

The logs given to you (and any interaction you have with Riot Support over the issue) are only your chat because that's all that matters for your punishment except in a very limited number of extremely rare cases such as someone tricking you into being toxic. Someone else being toxic does not excuse your toxicity, and thus there's absolutely no reason to provide you with logs of what they said.

If they were toxic in that game and you reported them, you can rest assured that the system took appropriate action on their accounts. Note that does not necessarily mean they would have been suspended - there are other forms of punishment Riot could have applied such as chat restrictions. Riot does not discuss action taken against a specific account for privacy reasons - even if they broke the rules and/or were punished, they have the right to have their account information kept private. You do not always receive an automatic notification when someone you reported is punished.

I mean, ONE report is equal to 9 right?

The better way to say that is this: Once one report is filed in a game, any past that are thrown out. It's not that 1 report = 9 reports, it's that the system only checks for one report. The system does not care how many reports there are because any number of reports is greater than 0 - and that's all that matters to the system to review the game.

Wait, so you say they couldn't control their emotions, yet you bait troll? If they couldn't control themselves, then yes they should be punished, but you were punished for your poor behavior. Trolling isn't acceptable.

There is no guarantee that you will receive any notification that a punishment was applied. That doesn't mean that nothing was done.
