Shut up, Stop talking

Why do people even bother typing that out?[slayer-jinx-unamused]

For anyone new to League of Legends, you can forcible stop someone from talking, by muting them and can even go a step further by blocking them.

So why bother telling someone to "shut up", or "Stop talking", all that does is tilt the person more and doesn't actually do anything other than waste your time since it takes 2 seconds to hit tab and mute.

I'm tired of seeing this passive-aggressive garbage in my games, use your brains I know it can be hard for some bronzies with your helmet straps tightening too much but I believe in you. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Because typing means you can't use abilities until you hit either enter or escape.

It's not about getting the person to stop showing up on their chat. The only time I've ever seen that in game is when someone is spending more time typing than they are playing, and doing so is throwing the game. It's not passive aggressive, it's supposed to be a wake up call that the person typing should be paying attention.

This is more of a problem with silver than bronze. At least from my perspective.

Because you are more concerned with arguing than winning when your teammates don't even want to hear what you say. If your teammate has to tell you to shut up, then you know you're doing something wrong.

For the record, the game this happened in I went top as caitlyn into illaoi, illaoi burned flash trying to kill me and failed badly, asked for gank and that's all.

12 minutes later my team is flaming my pick top as the reason for us losing, not the 2-12 botlane or the 1-3 shaco who's afking.

They asked for reason on going caitlyn, I replied all my other picks get dicked on by illaoi and stated botlane losing that badly had nothing to do with toplane. Than they told me to "shut the fuck up" and "Stop talking" when they are afking in base as our turrets fall. I told them to use the mute button, and to stop afking. At this point I muted my whole team, since they were all afking.

Ingame chat should be removed. If people want to communicate during game they should set up a Discord or use the completely unambiguous ping feature that has pings for danger, MIA, help with objective/gank, warded, etc.

Sometimes you want the other person to know that they're being a dick and you don't actually want to communicate or help them because of such.

Sometimes you're just fed up with dealing with 1, if 2 not people who are "low-key" trolling by not making it obvious, and when they bait you, you fall for it.

That's why. Have you never once told a person to "shut up" ever in your life? I don't know anybody who has.

I was somewhat inclined to agree with you (since there's not too much of a need to tell someone to shut up, as far as I've ever seen), but, you lost me with this:

I'm tired of seeing this passive-aggressive garbage in my games, use your brains I know it can be hard for some bronzies with your helmet straps tightening too much but I believe in you.

......Like. Really? Really? You can't get a point across without throwing in an insult or two for good measure? Come on.
