I recently got a 10 game chat restriction for tilting at group or harassers and flamers, ending me replying with salt. Anyways, I noticed that I'm way more calmer and less likely to type/comment on allies doing (ABSOLUTELY) idiotic things or towards trolls. Sure sometimes the 5 messages aren't enough for proper team communication, but when a troll or toxic person gets into my game, I tend to be a lot more chill about it and rather scream at the screen, than type something in their face.

I also tried minimzing chat to "0" size and "/muteall" but all of these ruined communication, when there weren't trolls to get tilted and salty at...

As far as I know, Riot's current system does not take other players behavior into account when evaluating yours. What this means is that you are responsible for your own behavior, regardless of whether or not it was provoked.

To me, this is a problem. Sometimes I will get someone who acts mad and tells us they will feed or something. That's okay, I will just mute them and report them after the game. But sometimes one of my random teammates will get mad and respond to the troll. Under the current system, if the responder is reported then they may suffer consequences.

However, I do not feel they are toxic players. I see clearly that they are responding to the true toxic individual.

I can relate with this most times people are just acting like insufferable cucks and blaming me for their problems and usually i type something back like "lol ok muted + reported enjoy your suspension" even that wasn't a safe response when i saw that i got chat restricted when will riot add an option to unbind the enter key or disable chat completely, it's pretty useless if you think about it (chat that is) until then... i've been using what you have.
