So THIS happened...

And I'd GLADLY screen cap the logs if they didn't just vanish from my "friends" chat window, but I wanted to tell the story anyway. It happened yesterday.

Met a plat 3 player recently and honestly? They were REALLY good. And by that I mean everyone else was really bad and couldn't figure out how to punish him for being overly aggressive but that's besides the point because we were in norms.

The point is he invited me to a game yesterday. I said no because I was and I'll repeat - WAS going to go to bed. It was 12am, and I wanted to try and fix my sleeping schedule.

Then a friend of mine I hadn't talked to in a little over half a year logged in. I was stoked, and he asked if I wanted to play and I said "yeah sure!" We hadn't played a game since Preseason 7.

Plat 3 guy was in a queue in champ select, and almost IMMEDIATELY jumps out of it as soon as I enter queue and immediately starts off with "Aight bitch, get off my friends list I don't fwu."

We left queue because I wanted to explain myself to him so I kept adding him back until he DID, and once again he called me a bitch but he lets me explain. I tell him I haven't seen this player in over half a year and I wouldn't know when I'd see him next again because of the long stretch of time (the player was thinking of uninstalling League but wanted to play a game or two to see if he could get the spark back).

I explain this and he says he doesn't care, proceeds to call me a bitch (again) and then starts rank shaming saying "you're only silver anyway" (and something about not needing that kind of player? I don't remember the exact wording) even though he's already fully aware I haven't touched ranked this season. I was silver LAST season and that was only at the end because I wanted to see where I'd place. Not even a day before he was saying I could probably get to gold just by playing support because of the games we had played duo bot before then (but again this was still norms).

He was more pleasant before this, though I should have taken the complaining of other supports as a red flag. I didn't.

Would gladly report him for being like this but this happened outside of game in the friends chat window, which apparently disappears after you log out if they're no longer your friend.
