500$-ish dollar account perma banned, sigh, (Click and read for Riot rant)

Well I created my treasured my league account august of 2015 and a year later pretty much I got perma banned for toxicity. Before that I was chat restricted twice for the same reason, but even before that well, I was a pretty nice person in game but all of a sudden I'd get mad and rage every game. Now I look back and think it was a combination of me starting to hate somethings about the game and some in irl life I was taking out on in league. After a year of building my account all of a sudden perma banned. I probably would have improved if it seemed like riot cared more. After looking at forums most people who claimed to have gotten a perma banned account said they were temporarily banned several times before getting a perma ban so dont know really why I got such an early perma ban but according to good old Riot no matter what happens its not gonna get unbanned so I gotta live with it.

The thing that really bugs me though is all the money I spent on it, feel like a got robbed and cheated by the mob. I mean so its basically like if your toxic and upset other peoples poor feelings we get to deny you access to your account and all the stuff you spent money on. I mean any business has a right to refuse service to someone for any reason but this is a service I already spent money on. But we know Riot is never going to refund me in any way. Taking my money and my product that I payed for with said money and no discussion about it and theres really no way I can dispute it. Sounds kind of like a form a fraud.

But now i'm going to talk a little bit more about about the actual ban itself. Well hell yes I was pretty toxic in the last I'd say 3 months, not every single game, but I'd say half my games I'd rage in all chat about things that were happening in the game, joke around with cruel humor to every now and then which Riot doesn't like in their games but heres the things I don't get about how riot handles punishments.First of all, Personally I only ever report feeders and trolls, which are the guys riot really should be clapping down on. According too riot when somebody is punished that you reported you get a notification. You see I was in bronze and silver elo most of the time so yeah, your gonna see a lot of guys who are gonna get pissy at their own team and int feed. Some days it was REALLY BAD almost every game some days would have a troll or a feeder now those are the people who should be gotten after but no they're going to target people who have been toxic, something that could easily be solved if people in game we're smart enough to use the mute button the first time they saw something they didn't like, or why riot doesn't just roll out perma mutes to people who they consider toxic beats me. Because you know what most of those people will do? They will get mad at riot, they will tell people to stay away from league, they will stop spending their money on it but they will just make more accounts and play and be no less toxic than they we're before. I know three guys personally in real life who have been perma banned on an account and thats exactly what they all did. Its like they all really hate the game deep inside but there still addicted.

I supported this game I like this game but Riot gave me and gave other people who supported it a spit right in the face. It doesn't matter to them what you done to support and help the game grow, how much time and money you put into the game, whoever rolls out these punishments doesn't care about you as a customer that enjoys the game in his own way, hey cares about what you put into that chat box only and he doesn't respect what you've done to help him if we didn't give riot our business he wouldn't have that job but because of the way things work in Riot terms and agree meant and how the general community is riot will always control how things work. How many people they've probably disrespected who have spent a large amount of time and money on there game and they go and say something that upset peoples feelings in a text chat and then none of it matters.

People have insulted me and bullied me my whole life and I'd sure never have ever had anybody to come and defend me, you name it, I've been called. The fact that people get banned and punished for talking smack and being toxic is absolutely ridiculous and i'm sure someone is going to just comment who actually read this far "lul glad you got banned you toxic %%%" It is unfair, unhonest, and morally wrong to rob people of their boughten and time spent product because they were toxic. Hell I cant eve talk to a riot support staff member like a human being, Its pretty much always some canned response pasted to some PC files they don't even give you a chance to talk about the thing other than their canned replies I spent all this time and money on their game and this is how their gonna treat me? Riot is so backwards to this and will probably never change it ways because it can afford making some people feel like this since half the gaming world plays and spends at least a little money on their game. Hope you enjoyed my rant pimps and players.

People seem to think that you get punished and banned for raging because it is politically correct. Or because someone got offended.

It's just really annoying. That's it. Oh sure, part of it is cracking down on the really hateful stuff, but it sounds like you spent half your games being really annoying. So you were asked to stop. And you didn't.

Yes, feeders and trolls get punished.

But so do yappy dogs. And that's basically what you were. An annoying yappy dog. Over and over again. I'm not offended by annoying yappy dogs. But when I am trying to play a high tension game, they make it really tough.

So consider being respectful of your other players next time.

Lets clear up some misconceptions you have:

You might have been looking at the old times where you can get multiple temp suspensions & infinite chat restrictions.

Around the time you started playing, the new reform system launched and now punishes people in 4 tiers:

  • 10 game chat restrict
  • 25 game chat restrict
  • 14-day ban
  • permaban

Those that claim that they were on multiple temp bans have the following scenarios:

  • Talking about old days
  • Talking about career bans
  • Have multiple accounts
  • Was able to drop a punishment tier after 3 months of not being toxic

Keep in mind that it was made clear in your 14-day ban email & reform card that your next punishment will be a permaban. If you didn't read it, then its your fault. Claiming ignorance won't help you.

First of all, Personally I only ever report feeders and trolls, which are the guys riot really should be clapping down on. According too riot when somebody is punished that you reported you get a notification.

You are half correct here, but you only get to see the notification if the game you reported the player in is the one that punished someone. So if they get punished at a later date, you won't get a notification.

As for the rest of your rants, especially those in regards to money .. Keep in mind that Riot is also keeping the game playable for most of us (aka non-toxics). We pay money as well, and we keep their game clean. So for you to say that you want a different treatment cos you paid, really doesn't add up.

You seem to think it's relevant that you spent 500 something dollars. Guess what, no one cares. It's also completely irrelevant. You broke the rules, you got punished. Karma's a bitch, eh?

  1. Normally punishments follow a 4 strike system. 10game chat restriction, 25game credit, 2week ban, permaban. I say normally because if ones behavior is extremely bad then the cr's get skipped and the person instead gets a 2week or permaban. If one shows enough of an effort to reform (approx. 3months time) they can drop down a tier to a lesser punishment should they get punished again.

  2. Money=/=exemption from the rules.

  3. Poor behavior of any kind is not welcome here. Yes we all have bad days & games every now and then, which is why the punishments are only handed out for consistent negative behavior.

  4. Other people behaving poorly never means that your own poor behavior gets ignored. If you retaliate then you both get punished.

  5. Game play trolls do get banned, but most people irroneously assume that they don't since they aren't as vocal about their bans as verbal harassers are. The systems also have to be sure that someone is intentionally trolling rather than just having a few bad games here and there.

  6. If you truly want to discuss your ban then please post your entire unedited reform card here in this thread. Check your email/spam folder and the game client for it; the email has 1 game whIle the client has up to 3.

If I buy a gun and shoot your mom with it would you rather me go to jail or get to walk around free and just not be able to legally buy a gun anymore?

Sarutobi8/19/2016, 9:22:07 AM2 votes

People need to stop saying they were robbed. You can only be robbed if riot actually forced you to spend money on this game. They didn't, you were fully aware of buying RP and they gave you that. So where is the robbery?

With that said while sounding like a broken spending money this game doesn't give you immunity to punishment. You broke the rules and just like everyone else who breaks the rules will get punished. Heck you were given numerous chances with chat restrictions, and you failed to change then. So should riot hand out more chances for you when you cannot learn the other 2-3 times?

I will agree with EvilDustMan about toxic chat. It's not so much about being offended. It has to do with being annoying. You are there to play a game. If you spend more time chatting than playing the actual game with nothing but racial slurs or harassing another person because they aren't some Pro-Player you should probably stop playing not only this game, but any type of competitive game since you obviously do not understand the concept of it.

"Money spent" YOU'RE NOT SPECIAL

twchris135798/19/2016, 9:43:15 AM1 votes

So if I pay you $1000 does that entitle me to be able to punch you in the mouth everytime I get mad?

What about spiting on you everytime you walk past me, can I do that? . . . no you say?

Well my buddy Reworked Fiora says if you pay someone money that you don't have to follow the rules and can do whatever you want and he seems like a pretty logical guy to me.

Sucks that you lost the money you put into it, but you broke the summoner code repeatedly, a code which you had promised from the very start of playing this game to uphold and therefore agreeing to "rito law", so I'm pretty there's fine print somewhere in all the stuff we click on to play saying that we agree to uphold their terms and forfeit our right to play or something if we don't. It sucks, but that's life man.

As for the toxicity, dude if you've been bullied all your life then you know how it feels. You being toxic and cyberbullying other players of the game helps no one and makes someone who was maybe trying to escape from bullying themselves have a worse day than they already might have had. You can't use the fact that you were bullied as an excuse for your actions, you have to own up to them and learn that taking it out on other people in game (like life) is not the way to go. People bullying you were probably acting out, taking it out on you, and look how it made you feel.

You get immediately banned if what you say is so bad that Riot thinks you need to be gone.

Ellis McPickle8/19/2016, 3:29:30 PM1 votes

You agreed to the TOS. You broke the rules and got banned. What I don't understand is why people would make a new account just to be toxic and get banned again. What kind of way to live life is that? If anyone is being childish about their feelings, it's the toxic players who never learn.
