He/she said this to our Katarina. After I called him/her out for their remarks they told me to kill myself as well. Later went on to say, "Want me to go buy the rope?" to our Katarina and other stuff. This toxicity just makes me sad.

Ok that one was kind of funny... anyway the correct response is NOT to make a 'whine thread' on the message boards... the correct response is to put that person on ignore and then report them after the game. That is all.

It means I don't have to feel inferior because I'm some sort of protected class. If you try to stop people from saying things like "stfu you autistic fuck" just for the sake of not potentially offending autistic people, then you are doing it for the wrong reason. You do not speak for me.

The intent is disrespect whether it is remarks against sexual orientation or a genetic disorder.
What is frowned upon is the use of that freedom to be disrespectful to others. Is it allowed? Sure. But it makes for a poor excuse of a human being.
