What it's like getting rekt by the honor system. (HONOR RANK 0)

Hey guys, I just wanted to talk about my thoughts and opinions today. So basically, here's the backstory: a long while ago, maybe 5 months? ago or something like that, I had a genuinely really bad streak in my life and took it out on the game. I got banned for toxicity, when I came back to league, I had an honor rank of 0. I took a break from league, and a couple months later I came back. I was in a much better place in life, and wanted to play the game just for fun. I've been playing the game casually for months afterwards, and I have not been toxic at all (Other than my toxic ass name lmao :^)), I literally have had model player behavior. I don't play often, maybe a game a day or sometimes none, but I've noticed one thing that really aggravates me. For a casual player who does not play much, it is IMPOSSIBLE to raise my honor rank. I am still at honor 0, and it's quite frustrating. And the worst part about it, is that in the season reset, it doesn't reset your honor rank back to 2. I will literally be stuck, getting 0 player rewards, for the next who knows how long. I don't understand is how expressing yourself in a way deemed "against the conduct" to other players in a video game for 1-2 weeks should basically permanently remove player rewards from that account.

This brings up the case of why Dunkey quit league. Not the exact same, but very similar. He could not fathom how the people playing a VIDEO GAME aren't allowed to express themselves however you want. There's something called a mute button, but apparently the community prefers the report button instead.

The penalties to toxicity are beyond extreme. I know this post is gonna get a lot of hate, and the way I know that is because I'm posting to the same community that got me banned in the first place. But I don't care. The limitations on expression has created a babied, sensitive, censored community, leaving a scar on the game that will not be healed.

I'm not sure how I will continue with the game. I'll probs just start trolling with my friends, cause since my honor rank isn't going up, and it can't go down, might as well just say Fiddlesticks and troll the hell out of my matches.

Moral of the story: I was fully reformed, no toxicity for 2 months, but it didn't change my account status at all, making me come to the conclusion: Might as well un-reform.

Hit me up with hate and downvotes now :)

  • If your honor status doesn't seem to increase, it means you're still being reported multiple times throughout many games, and also shows you have not reformed much as you claimed.

  • Mute & report aren't one-sided choices. Both can be done at the same time. What's the point of calling other people "stupid ass", "ky.s" & etc? Does it magically win games or anything?

  • Penalties aren't extreme if you aren't excessively vulgar. There's 10 & 25 games chat restriction & 14 days suspension before you get by the permaban hammer. It's pretty easy to reform between one of those punishments.

  • What I know about your post getting downvoted is two things:

  1. You mentioned Dunkey's video, which is just a straight instant thread-degrader.
  2. This line: Hit me up with hate and downvotes now :)

Games are measured in toxic scale

So imagine a scale of 0 to 10 0 is not toxic at all 1-3 is mildly toxic 4-9 toxic worth punishment 10 extremely toxic

If you're getting reported and your games are getting rated 1-3, you'll never get out of dishonorable.

The key to getting out of dishonorable is to NOT be dishonorable.

I mean telling someone that they should "get gunned down in the street like the degenerate they are" is pretty damn extreme. Chances are if he said that to someone face to face, depending on his location and the person in question, he'd either end up with teeth missing or dead. What he said was pretty much wishing death on another person.

Even then I swear what he claimed he said wasn't what he actually said. IIRC he has never posted his actual reform card and Lyte confirmed that what he claimed he got banned for isn't what actually caused it.

I wonder what your logs would say if Tantram were to pull them up... I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt. Are you absolutely sure you've said nothing (however minuscule) that could be construed as toxic?

My friend got dishonourable literally as soon as the honour system launched and he's currently level 5. All he did was straight up stop using the chat apart from saying "ggwp", "gj" or calling out plays.
