Reported Hell

It is quite obvious, in fact, it couldn't get any more obvious, that the matchmaking system starts giving me extremely toxic teammates immediately after receiving a chat restriction.

It is not uncommon for me to be on a team of all bronze and silver players while the enemy team is plat and diamond. The matchmaking system purposely selects teammates who do not help their allies in order to create more frustration for me, the chat-restricted player. Most games will consist of players who will stand right next to me watching me die in a team fight while they farm their cs. These are the hypocritical players who troll the game hard and then immediately start whining for everyone to gang up and report any retaliation to their trolling.

I believe this is an effort to see if the punished player has reformed or not. It essentially creates an extra toxic game as much as possible for the chat restricted player, an "elo hell" if you will.

Maybe Riot thinks this is a good way to accelerate the "toxic" players out the door. Give them constant back to back games that they cannot possibly resist becoming angry.

That's a very weird way to express your subjective feeling about something you have literally zero statistical evidence for. What you are suggesting (which is essentially a form of "prisoner's island" has been requested/suggested by a lot of people in the past, only to be shot down hard by Riot every single time they made a statement on it.

Doesn't prove they're not doing it, but it does seem weird that they would continuously defend their position (and take a lot of crap for it), when it's not actually the position they have.

Look, I absolutely believe that this is what it might feel like for you. It might even be true that, just by chance, you are matched with more toxic players as of late. But the most likely explanation in my opinion is that this is essentially a highlighting effect. You were punished for actions you may previously not have perceived as toxic. It would then be pretty natural to become more aware of those (and worse) behaviour patterns as exhibited by others.

Do you buy into a lot of conspiracy theories? That's what this sounds like.

riot said they wouldnt do that EVER. they dont wanna do a prisoner island kind of thing. im never toxic with honor lvl 5, and i get same shitt talking team with unreasonable game balance as you do.

its not cause you are toxic, its cause riot is bad at their job.

It's not the match makers fault. There are actually just so many people that it has become common to experience.
