Greetings Summoners.

I am making this post today to share my opinion and views on the league community, its toxicity, and how we can better develop Riot's in game rules.

After playing league of legends for about 5 years on and off and having 3 accounts Perma-banned for flaming, I have finally decided to post a legitimate thread to better the league community. After my 5 years on this game playing with my brother and many friends and league members through discord, I began to question why some people were able to not give in to negativity whilst many flamed, jeopardising their account, just to simply receive some sort of satisfaction. I can tell you from my years of playing this game and constantly flaming intentional feeders, afkers and trolls, I have never really intentionally fed a game by selling my items and running it down mid, And I believe most flaming league players are like that. In addition, I believe that players who take the game seriously, and love the competitive scene of ranked react more destructive than those that just consider league of legends as another fun game. I believe that seed to league of legends's negative community is due to the fact that the game itself is built for it. You cannot simply put 5 people in a game that requires them to rely on one another, have some take the game seriously and others lightly, and expect them to play coherently. At the end of the day, most flamers don't intentionally feed, and most of the time, players flame because they take the game seriously and want to pursue ranking up in a game they love but are sometimes dragged down by someone who clearly doesn't care enough. Why does riot continuously penalise players that only committee a crime as an uncontrollable reaction to someone acting irrationally? And yes if you have ever taken league seriously you will have understood that flaming is uncontrollable at times.

Many D-riders will rush to the comment section to comment something blatantly silly like "thats the rules and vision of the company, if you don't like it leave" Well isn't that the whole point of communities? to question rules and regulations, to better our environment, to reduce negativity?

Why don't we simply implement a complete chat mute? Why do we simply ban flamers only to find them flaming again on a smurf they levelled up or an account they bought. I don't understand riot's logic.

The League of legends account trading market is huge, and you can buy an account for less than 30$ within a couple of minutes and be flaming right back again. Wouldn't implementing a complete chat ban keep flamers in the game without being able to flame? Is it that you believe flamers without the ability to type will try to relieve their anger through intentionally sabotaging a game? If majority of flamers react to afkers, inters, and trolls. What difference does it make if they intentionally feed in an already lost game?

Please feel free to provide opposing views, counterarguments, etc in the comment section below. please don't spam the comment section with useless, regurgitated, parrot-like BS.

Thanks and Regards.

i do understand there are moment that I really can't stop myself from flaming I do three things then\

  1. mute all
  2. put on Tchaikovsky - 1812 Overture (it has cannons in it)
  3. I switch to my keyboard without enter key.

It is still my responsibility if I flame and I do everything to prevent it. I learn for mistakes and I have adapted over time. You have had this chance for over 9 bans, at what point is it your fault.
