Very much frustrated

TL:DR - Player gets mad at me for not letting him toplane, so he trolls my entire game and I get reported by the enemy team despite not doing anything wrong.

I like League. I like the characters. I like their interactions. I like some of the players! They genuinely make my games fun sometimes! But there are other times where people will no doubt go out of their own way to ruin your experiences, no matter what you do or how nice you are. And here's one of those instances.

After a couple of days of giving league a break, I decided to hop on for a quick game about 30 minutes ago. I picked toplane, and I got filled into it. The midlaner at champion select asked "Hey can I go top" and I very politely declined. And of course, the usual "Alright I'll duo top." Everyone then asked for this midlaner not to, and to just go mid. He INSISTED on going toplane with me, and picked Nunu and Willump. Once we got into the game, I went straight to mid, assuming this player would go straight to top. He didn't. He came mid with me. I very quickly learned he legitimately wanted to duo with me, and thus he followed me around for a good 15 minutes, back and forth between toplane and midlane, as I attempted to shake him off and let me play.

This continued however, and I expressed my frustration in /all chat, asking for the opposing team to report him. At first they were reluctant, but as soon as they saw the Nunu continuing to follow me around, their opinions changed and they agreed to report him. After a while tho, I was getting more and more frustrated. I wasn't able to get much cs, I was dying very quickly even under my tower, and this player would flat out not fight with me. He was only there to take cs, and make my laning phase a general nightmare. I kept reminding the opposing team to report this player, because of his consistent trolling.

Their opinions changed again though, after they complained I was being annoying, and I wasn't "trying". I spent about 4 minutes in base hoping I would gather enough gold to buy an item or upgrade that I could use to at least make some sort of dent in their teams hp. I died often, due to lack of cs and items, and this midlaner was getting very lucky kills as the enemy team got greedy and tried to towerdive. I was then accused of trolling, badmouthing, flaming, etc. Not ONCE had I said anything that was rude, or uncalled for. All I had said was "no, I'm staying top" and the usual begging of "please go back to your own lane" or "please I just wan't to play league". I was virtually begging this dude to let me play, even just to farm. But all I got was "but gnar is my friend :-(" "nunu and willump is gnar friend :-(".

Whilst I did report this player at the end of my match, along with a few of my teammates, I was the one that got reported by the enemy team, and accused of griefing the match, when I literally couldn't do a single thing or touch a single soul without dying 2 seconds into any fight. I am very tired of this seemingly more toxic community. I understand "normal games" are meant for fun. But a game loses it's fun and charm when you actively ruin someone elses experience by annoying them through words or actions.

I may not touch League for a little while now, because of this experience. And I sincerely hope that the player who sought to destroy my fun acknowledges their unneeded actions next time they don't get put into their preferred role.

And to those of you who thought that this players actions were ok, and you have done something similar / want to do something similar. Please don't.
