Haven't seen a thread like this in a while so wanted to make one to update myself and everyone else. **Remember that eSports themed skins do not count. **

In order of longest time: Xerath : 1,582 days Skarner : 1,582 days Zilean : 1,568 days (receiving a skin later this year, confirmed in an official Riot video) Mordekaiser : 1,558 days (has recently had a rework) RekSai : 1,522 days Zac : 1,522 days Kalista : 1,428 days Kassadin : 1,411 days Ryze : 1,357 days Velkoz : 1,242 days Sion : 1,229 days Taliyah : 1,195 days Kindred : 1,187 days Shyvana : 1,187 days Volibear : 1,180 days (currently going through a rework) Taric : 1,138 days Pantheon : 1,082 days (has recently had a rework) Olaf : 1,082 days Morgana : 1,040 days (has recently had a rework, leaks claimed she would have an SG skin but were false) Maokai : 1,020 days Trundle : 1,018 days Nautilus : 1,018 days Karthus : 1,011 days Bard : 1,011 days

Behold the Champs Riot views as unmarketable

You know what's wild? Ryze hasn't had a new skin in that long, but he still has 10 skins.

You can probably take Zilean off, since he was promised a skin this year by Riot at the start of the season.

Also, technically, Xayah and Rakan haven't gotten skins since last year's Valentine's Day, and they're in the same boat as Kalista when it comes to skin availability, whereas all their skins are legacy except for their release skins, and outside of that, they only have 1 none-Esports skin release.

They may not have been waiting as long as those champions, but I though it was worth mentioning anyway, as Riot seems be be neglecting them as much as the 1,000 days club, and they'll probably end up in it eventually if Riot doesn't give them some form of attention outside of Worlds winners picking them for skins.

Nope, none of those are Ezreal, Lux, Kai'sa or Ahri. Can't do it chief.

Thank you for acknowledging that the goo boy gets neglected here. Zac

Saw a bunch of people who claim that he doesn't need another one since he got that SKT skin.....

Taliyah had a skin last year I thought.

To be honest, Pantheon rework made him get "new" skins. His old skins were almost all the same and looked like base skin chromas, like old Akali (they even reworked Crimson Akali into a new one, Infernal). But yea... the list of least popular champs, can't milk those (still waiting for a Taliyah skin). :/

They've been doing good on knocking these out recently, but we've still got a ways to go. Also, thank you for acknowledging the worlds skins as invalid. Those lot deserve something more. P.S. I'd argue that Kalista should be at the top of the list since she still hasn't gotten a non-esorts skin since release. Maybe, if my dreams come true, she'll get a Star Guardian skin next week and I can finally rest easy. But we all know that's not gonna happen.

Technically, Taliyah’s never been given a non-release skin, since Riot’s made it clear that the team skins don’t count. If we’re taking that into consideration, neither has Kalista. :(

Riot did say they’re reworking Shyvana sometime after Volibear and Fiddlesticks, so I’m wondering if they’re going to use that as an excuse to not give her a skin until shortly thereafter.

Finally somebody gets it right and includes Conqueror/Victorious/Championship because Riot is chosing those and not players.

To be honest, unlike some people here, I don't feel like its entirely Riot's fault if those champions are basically abandonned;

from the behavior I saw from some people here on the boards, on reddit or even IG, I learned that A LOT of the people who mains popular champions skin-wise (read e-girl champions, AKA skins every 6 months or so) are guenuinely angry whenever unpopular champions/unappealing champions gets skins. Why? Literally no reason, just anger.

Best example I can think of is the addition of new MECHA skins last year (which is one of the very very few skinline with ONLY monster-like champions) who got shunned at because "if a skinline should be expanded, it should be starguardian", which is pretty damn sad to see since the addition of new MECHA skins I'm talking about is the addition of literally 1 skin only; AurelionSol 's, which pretty much deserved it and still deserve some love.

If I was a skin developper and I saw the community acting like apes whenever I would make something that isn't for their favorite videogame waifu, I would most probably be very disappointed and would kinda feel obligated to make skins for said waifu...

Zac and Mordekaiser please rito, both of them are overdue for an actually good skin.

Did skarner and xerath both have the sand skin as their last release?

Sexy Jack Rabbit8/26/2019, 4:05:08 AM3 votes

It really sucks too because whilst the team skins are really cool, the vast amount of branding all over them for natural reasons kind of takes away from them.

The only real exception so far has been the SSG skins imo, as the insignia/logo looks just as much like a Rune so it kind of works all things considered.

Ionian Vulpix8/25/2019, 8:14:13 PM3 votes

Don't remember when, but Zac did get the SKT skin. And since they're counting the one for Taliyah since she hasn't had a skin since release other than that either, I think it's fair to count that.

Xayah and Rakan aren't on the list because they are very marketable champions, and they're popular too. Only 560 days since their last skins. And you're right that whilst they got esports skins, they're a little difficult to make skins for because of their uniqueness and how much effort Riot would have to put in, but they will most likely get skins next year, if not later this year during Halloween or Christmas, which are two viable events for these champs.

Yep, it's been a very long time since they got skins and I don't believe there are any leaks or plans for skins for either of them this year or early next year.

Where is Viktor in the list, out of curiosity?
