Do reports actually do anything?

Just as the title says, do reports actually do anything? I recently had a game where in my laning phase I didn't play so well and was flamed and later we won with me having a positive KDA, those bastards still thought I was boosted, despite my efforts, I want to know that my reports actually punish the flamers in some way.

If they're valid reports, yes.

Yes, your reports mean something once they are true reports. Keep in mind flamers won't be punished for one game. Should they continue to exhibit toxic behavior however, they will be punished.

Yes, and if the person who was reported continues to act toxic they eventually get enough reports for the system to take action against them.

Multiple times after I've gotten out of a game with someone who was toxic, I've gotten the "a player you recently reported was punished" message
