What if toxic players saw that they were muted?

What are your opinions on having a notification pop up in the chat letting someone know that they've been muted? Would it cause them to troll or would it cause them to think 'hey, I should probably stop raging before I get reported next'? Thoughts?

It's likely it would make the situation worse. If you straight up told somebody they were muted it would infuriate them. However, if you didn't say anything then eventually they would stop. The trolls crave attention and energy from the people being trolled. It's like a fire... if you cut off one element of the triangle the fire stops.

its meaningless

it'd just mean time riot spends making a meaningless project and can be abused to spam a person

All you need to do is type "muted" in chat and they should understand.

"i should probably switch to inting and trolling since that doesn't get me punished" at least that's what i thought when i got chat restricted for calling a inter out.

I think it would just make them go crazy with rage; trolls Trundle don't like to be knowingly ignored
