after looking at some screenshots from the boards from people who got perma banned i realised that i should stop using the chat,its not an uncommon phenomenon after a loss a teamate reporting you for verbal abuse just to get you banned,and just by looking at these players screenshots,they literaly got perma banned for calling someone else a bad player or a troll or calling reports at the end of the game.i guess i just have to /mute all at the start of every game and just do my own thing.

You can use the chat to communicate with others in a respectful (read: neutral or positive) manner, but you've gotta know when to just mute someone and move on. The people getting banned for chat-related offenses are the ones who are using it just to be verbally abusive jerks to other players (not just for calling people bad or a troll or calling for reports). Not only that but they did it consistently to the point where they used up all their chances to reform and got permabanned.

I myself use chat quite a bit and have never been warned nor banned. How? Because I don't do or say things that I know will just tick people off. Next time ask yourself "Is this helpful, respectful or constructive?" If the answer to that question is no then just don't press Enter.

tldr: The chat-related permabanned cases commonly consist of people using it just to verbally abuse & harass other players, and these same players have often ignored all prior warnings as well. If you want to use the chat then use it for things that are helpful, respectful and/or constructive. If what you type isn't any of those things then just don't press Enter.

Just remove the chat - Freedom of Speech is not allowed on LoL. Its not big brother - Its Big R ( your parents ) telling you what is allowed and isnt allowed in speech that contains no threats. I literally have dragged the chat right off my screen.

Also, be smart - Don't invest any real life money into this game - no skins - no nothing that cost money. Never know when calling someone bad might get it taken away.

Just use the client as a free time killer.

i just love how on every banned players posts there is one guy who is like: AHEM AHEM according to riots terms of service agreement they can ban you and you cant do anything and since you agreed to that you cant complain.

and im like shit dude according to their terms of service they can change your name to "brony69420" and remove every champion except urgot from your champion pool,its not about what is legal its about what is right.

Because most banned posts would just be a back and forth that could be summarized as,

"I think this behavior is acceptable and I shouldn't be punished for it"

and

"I don't think this behavior is acceptable and you shouldn't bring it into the game".

Ultimately, It's Riot's choice. They have decided they don't want shitty behavior in their game. It doesn't matter that the OP of a banned post believes that their behavior should be allowed. It's Riot's decision. If a person doesn't like that decision, the player can escort their own posterior to other venues.

Riot installed the system. Riot decided what the parameters are. And Riot has the power to manually reverse/implement any ban as they see fit.

i mean if a human being was looking into every single case i would probably agree with you,but theres no such thing,everything is handled by a bot a program everytime you get reported it searches for keywords,if it finds them it punishes you.can the bot realy tell the diference between what is acceptable and what is not,or is it just banning as long as you commit an offense?

You don't have to stop using the chat altogether, you just have to have enough willpower to not type angry things when you're angry. It's really not hard

I have flamed. And I got a report, but not a punishment. It's hard sometimes, but strong will and thick skin sees you through.

Being rightly reported every once in a while won't get you punished, so the only way you're getting punished because an angry teammate reported you is because it happens in a shit load of your games

rito does not care what you type , you can literally type " fuck my life gonna kms " and you'll get banned after suspension , mute all or removing chat is the only option. Guys that show their chat logs are mostly tilted and nothing else they dont harass and dont blame but they get reported for their perforormance. Truth is nobody reads those chatlogs and if there is word that triggers the system you are 99% getting banned

I guess the real question here is .... What is chat even for? Sitting and typing to people is a fast way to get killed. not to mention strategy really cant be done in a chat - it needs to be done on the fly in a voice chat system.

moreover ... /all .... what is it for? You wouldnt share strategy with the enemy team .... so what is it for besides talking shit to the opposite team?

Really, the chat system in this game makes no sense other than to have fun shit talking banter (anything that doesnt involve physical threats).

Otherwise why even have a chat .... you already have the ping system.

Am I suppose to use the chat system as a "hey bro ... you are doing so good mid lane ... can I suck your D!c|< and have your babies?"

When it was a report option, I never saw someone banned for it, so it was likely a placebo report similar to "unskilled".

I have stopped giving constructive criticism... I don't want those losers in my ello anyway I'd rather them stew and never get better. :D especially when they report for good advice.... like I dunno.... hey morg why did you build abyssal and visage vs an all ad squishy team.... don't need mr for that.
