riot has become stringent because of losing players?

just got 14 days suspesion because i was beeing toxic. bofore that i got yesterday and 10 game chat restriction. the question is tho wasn't it 10 ganes chat restriction then 25 games then 14 days suspesion then the permanent ban? i mean WTF RIOT. and i didnt say that much. here is the chat:Game 1 Pre-Game SkyWarrioR: pick me yi SkyWarrioR: pls SkyWarrioR: camille SkyWarrioR: ty <3 In-Game SkyWarrioR: . and it was just 1 game!!! i mean you get the ban after flaming in some bunch of games not just 1! and i wasn't that toxic actually.

why riot has become so rigorous to toxic players. i get it players are leaving because of this community and riot has become that strict to not lose anymore players, and keep the toxic people out.

i get it toxic people should be punished. but this is overeacting

This punishment has nothing to do with losing players (League is still a top 10 and probably a top 5 game by total player number, and is doing just fine).

It has everything to do with you telling another player to kill themselves, which is a zero tolerance offense that earns an immediate 14-day ban.

Telling people to kill themselves falls under the zero-tolerance policy and gets an immediate 14-day ban as the first punishment. Why? Because you shouldn't need a warning to know that this kind of behavior is unacceptable pretty much anywhere. Aside from that you have multiple instances of name-calling and report-calling, which are also punishable even without the multiple instances of "kys". It only takes one report to flag a game for review, so there's really no point in asking others to report someone when you can just silently do it yourself. Being frustrated is one thing, but there is never an excuse to tell someone to end their life, never. If you must rage then do it at the screen instead of in the chat, as this will allow you to vent your frustrations without compromising your teams chances of success. Remember, if it's not helpful or constructive then just don't press Enter.

This Advisor's comment (A) was a much more useful response than that given by a Herald (H) in this same thread, especially in two aspects with which Riot ought to be concerned:

  1. Policy & behavior. (A) and (H) both clearly identified the relevant policy and articulated where the player stepped over the line. But (A) furthermore engaged with the poster directly and offered clear strategies the player may use in the future to identify repeat behavior and prevent it before it arises.

  2. Extraneous unsourced claims. Answering the original post's unsourced and (for PB's purposes) irrelevant claims (re LoL's "losing players") in this case can encourage more comments in the same vein. In particular, answering them with statements like "still a top X" and "probably still Y"--as (H) did--invites readers to speculate otherwise.

We all have our own styles. I personally tend to give simple feedback first, and expand when needed/asked, while Prandine tends to give a lot of information up front. Readers can speculate as much as they want -- data on approximate player numbers is rather easily available, and a quick google search shows that most rankings put League between #1 and about #7 currently, depending on your source. My personal experience on this forum is that addressing the incorrect assumptions in an argument often helps people focus on the actual issue, or at least splits the two issues apart so that discussion on one can happen separately from discussion on the other -- in this case, discussion on "why you got banned" vs. "is League losing players" rather than "League is losing players and this is why they're banning people." I can then address one without needing to dive into the other.

You are not allowed to vent in chat at all. You are not allowed to voice your anger. To be honest. People gotten a lot more sensitive and cyberbullying becoming the thing.

You can still vent.

You can still go "God fucking damnit" and be fine.

You can't go putting all the blame on another person all game though.

"That gank was bad" would be fine. Bringing it back up over and over would not be; e.g. "down because you fucked up the gank" 2 minutes later. "If only you ganked better." 3 minites later "shit jg can't gank".

Nope.... Riot will ban you for saying that, i mean if you say it on a new account might not get you banned but it will definitely get a mark which means future bans will be easier.

Really? Because I do it a lot. I even go in /all and say things like "I'm just a motherfucking decoy.", "Fuck this shit, I'm out" (when I see a gank or collapse coming.) and even one I took from the boards "Caw Caw motherfuckers" (ulting as Fiddles).

Would u like to see the 3 games that gave me punishments, and im not referring to 3 games = one punishment, im talking about one passive aggressive ally team chat that got me 25 chat restriction, 14 day ban and perma ban off sly comments which riot feels toxic, if your getting away with it then congratz... show's how busted riot is then even more <3

I mean, I remember your post 4 months ago. I commented on it explaining the mathematics that behind the %.06 for permabanned accounts as well as your math mistake when you said moving the decimal to the right two spaces would give you %60 (when it would only be 6).

..... i think your confusing me for someone else and if by any chance your talking about the ban rate it isnt .06% it claims, its actually 0.006% because thats what my reform card says and the account before. Also i never said 60% or 6% because in the end i feel this static is pure bull shit.... clearly there are Hundred thousands+ thread's of people being ban due to rank and the fact is you can get ban from 1~30 on new accounts still leaves me questionable if this % is true.... i believe it isnt .006% but a way larger number like in the "60's" but again i dont have the right or information to tell you that.

Lmao dude did you actually read what i posted? Lord have mercy on these fucking idiots.... clearly i know that and once again i will repeat myself... There are countless of post on this thread which can = up to 100,000+ people alone who post there concern.... And sadly Riot does remove a large amount because it does get out of hand..... but again thats if we are talking about people who get banned in ranked... do you actually believe people who never played ranked or 1~30 dont get banned as well? its not an opinion.... its based off facts and math % idea's that clearly dont make sense on riot's part....

Lets do the math, 81,000,000 x 0.006% = 4,860 .... you telling me that only that little people are toxic in this game? you telling me people who get fed up with this game constantly post on forum? because clearly the amount of posters are x2 or x3 more Like thats the logic behind everything wrong in this world accepting that there are flaws in the system.

"Active Monthly players" is important to note for that statistic. That number doesn't reflect accounts that aren't active anymore. The percentage is based all player accounts, not simply active ones.

And I agree that the number may be slighted slightly depending on how they factor in some other variables.
Do they count Suspended (security ban) accounts? Do they discard 3rd party software and account sharing bans?

In regards to the other post. We know accounts 1-30 get banned. For various reasons.

I find it funny a slang term thats commonly used which means nothing in today's social media is actually punishable, god forbid we crack down on the real problems within the community, Afk'er or trolls. thank you riot!

Banning ppl for toxicity is just as easy as avoiding said ban. I know it must be hard to not use hate speech and other inflammatory language, but a little self control does wonders.
