Is it right to kill an inting enemy laner?

DonutPuff·4/2/2019, 1:08:54 AM·2 votes·4,315 views

I was playing a game as zed, against a enemy. im guessing i counterpicked him/her and once I had 2 kills they started inting. I realized what was going on, and stopped hitting him, because I knew his intention. Nasus on my team told me that I was a loser for not killing the inting enemy, and I felt conflicted, so I thought I might open up a discussion here. Please give me some of your thoughts on the predicament. edit: removed name because its against rules.

What do you mean "is it right?"

They're an enemy, you kill them. If they're inting, you report them. That's all there is to it.

Also, remove the name: "Naming and Shaming" is a big deal here.

I understand why you feel conflicted. The way I resolved that conflict for myself is by realizing I have an obligation towards my team first, and to my enemy second. If I feel so uncertain about what the right moral decision is, how can I be certain enough to force this opinion onto the rest of my team?

Besides: Killing a troll as often as you can will make it easier to identify that player as griefing, and increases their chance to get banned for it. Smarter trolls usually also will eventually just force your hand by simply continuously attacking you.

Well while most kda players will think that is heaven, you really shouldnt kill him many times, especially after his gold will be below 100, cause all you do from there on is to increase your bounty value and waste time.

If they mess up my well prepped minion wave. I will kill them.

Personally tired of the term "inting". UNLESS and UNTIL there's clear proof by the supposed and accused player that they are indeed "intentionally feeding" its just your opinion.

They could actually just be getting shut down that game.

also and off topic: Could EVERYONE in the WORLD please stop calling programs 'Apps.'? IT'S APPLICATION. thanks in advance. it seriously bugs me.

I let them them feed me and report them after. And yes, I have done that.

A couple reasons:

  1. Having an inter is misereable. Getting fed means my team can (hopefully) end the game faster. Faster games means less tilt time for the non-feeders.
  2. I don't want the inter showing up on my team in the next game. So I report him. And hope it's the tipping point.

If you don't kill them, you will risk them killing you or taking an objective. You simply have to kill them and report them after the match. No question about it.

1- it's against the board rules to mention the name. It's considered name shaming (I think).

2- You need every advantage to win the game. This is League of Legends not Dragonball. You don't get rewarded for acting all Goku. You can report the player afterwards anyway.

3- Zed is already an unfair champion anyway. So you have the right to be unfair too.

4- please tell me you won the game...

Not your laner, not your problem. You're playing the game to in right? And in order to win you need to gain advantage over your enemy. And how else you will gain it if you don't kill them?

Having been on the other end of that situation (the inter being on my team), I call it karma. Something good happens to me for a change! Yes, report them, no, do not encourage them, but don't hold back from killing them, especially in ranked game. Kill them strictly for business and end the game as soon as you can.

Yeah. Of course?

gabetheguy4/3/2019, 2:19:05 AM1 votes

you have literally no obligation to not kill them.

FioraWillCarry4/3/2019, 3:40:58 AM1 votes

Ask yourself how many times you've lost a game because an inter got the enemy team fed. The answer to that question should resolve the conflict in your soul.

I mean you're putting morality into a videogame. Just kill them and end the game faster if you feel so bad. Also they can attack you to force you to kill them so....

End the match fast and report the trolling

I like fair play

but i have to admit that i even like free kills

in both options there is naturally a good report for the inting player

Anyway when there is an inting player the match is 99% pretty done, no real need to take "any" advantage and feed on the pain of the enemy team (it's just feel a ... over a ...).

Sometimes, even if it's contrary said above, i like a fair play game and when there is let's say an afk player on the opponent side (situation where the match is still possibly open) i like to go afk (or at least i ask to the opponent team and my team if they agree) and let the game go for a more fair 4 vs 4.

i simply tell the enemy i am sorry about their inter and keep playing.

DamItEzreal4/2/2019, 5:15:07 AM1 votes

id say keep killing them get super fed use it to your power then get the free S

If they are inting they will int regardless. While it is ethically wrong to take advantage of that (good on you for it) from the standpoint of using everything you can to win you should be. It is a game after all. If we were playing football and I noticed your center was favouring his left side, you know I will shove everything I have down that left side to abuse his injury.
