Muting Allied Chat
I'd just like to, for once, thank riot for listening to feedback and doing something right for a change. I guarantee this will reduce the number of punishments they hand out. Good on you Dorito.

It's also glaringly obvious that this board is 95% rioters. Every thread criticizing the company, spam downvotes, but you say one nice thing, 40 upvotes.
Just wondering but isn't muteall just the same thing? I know the option makes it so you can't type either but in that case those that don't want to type won't type... unless it's for those thats trying not to type but can't resist the urge to.
thing is if its a chat it is for chatting. if everyone just uses it for pings for spells and ulti cds then why is it called a chat. community is toxic but the punishment for beeing toxic heavily outweighs rewards for beeing not toxic. yes someone saying the K something something to someone should be bannable. but i shouldnt be banned for calling gragas fat or twitch a rat or fiora baguettemaster64. the bans are automated and seeing only what you say in the chat log just makes you look way worse.
im pretty sure you could always do that
Rammus emote here.

Yah. No. Probably not. Now people will get banned for just playing the game or wanting to experiment. And everyone will just be labeled a "troll" now. So don't be surprised when you get banned for having a bad game.
Is this on live servers?
But... this doesn't help at all tho? It's basically just an internal AHK script? People can toggle it off anytime?
And those who are toxic WILL toggle it off? Which makes it useless? Since it's not a server-side toggle by Riot?
The only thing i like about this game is that feature only. Yup best decision.
I forgot that was even a feature they added in
