Punishment for verbal abuse??

I think its absured that there is a punishment for verbal abuse. If i have a jinx thats obviously purposely feeding every lane i should be able to talk shit without getting banned for two weeks. Talking crap is one of the most fun things to do in this game and yet you cant cause people dont know what a mute button is. Grow up league this isnt preschool. If there is a mute button why do have verbal abuse reporting?? I totally agree with punishment for afk, feeding, and general trolling but if i want to talk a little smack after destroying the kass thats been saying "rekt bitch" every time he gets a ks. I should be allowed to without a whiny baby crying and reporting me. Just mute. Wow so easy.

As you have just said, people learn how not to talk to others in a group 'before' the end of preschool. If toddlers can manage it you can too! ^ ^

It's fun to talk shit.........smfh......

All these damn 12 year olds I wish parents would actually monitor their kids.

My child has a key logger hidden in his computer and if I ever see anything like this he will lose his computer till he moves out.

Gotta love people like this. There is a mute button use it, that doesn't excuse your toxic behavior. Riot set the rules, follow them it's not that hard. Despite if anyone is feeding or not no one deserves to be treated like that over losing at a video game. How sad does your life have to be that trash talking is an enjoyment for playing? Considering Trash Talking isn't acceptable anywhere else, why would you think otherwise for this game? If you need to trash talk do like any normal person would and yell at the screen, punch a punching bag. Why you need to type to tell someone the obvious (when they are playing badly) when it won't solve anything. Honestly I pray that you are kid, because then at least you'll probably learn that real life isn't always online 24/7, when you talk like this in real life you'll think getting ban in a video game will be child's play.

{quoted} Talking crap is one of the most fun things to do in this game

Reading the QQ ban threads of the petulant children who Riot is exterminating with the fury of 1,000 suns is one of the most fun things to do in this game.

Talking crap is one of the most fun things to do in this game?

For who?

Do you honestly derive pleasure from antagonizing your team mates? If you do then you have no welcome place in league. I've heard the argument "people need to grow up" before and it holds no substance if they cannot maintain a civil tongue in their head and address other people with respect. Maturity is not a license to do as you please to others. Maturity is how we as people progress positively as human beings.

Yeah, probably fun for you. And Verbal Abuse reporting can also be assumed for players who also mutes annoying players before wanting to report them. Like, does that report requires you to hear every single bit of bullshit toxic players spout out?

And also, at what point does trash-talking improves anyway? You think it would ABRAKADABRA your Jinx into magically going 30/5/7 for your team? It still does nothing beneficial for the whole game, and you're just saying just to make yourself feel better.

Mute button does not equals to you having all the free rights to talk as much crap as he wants. When someone mutes you due to your highly annoying attitude, its a definite point that you should stop talking crap, no matter what you think.

Do note this. No one cares of you being "Mr. Macho" by saying everyone shouldn't cry over trash-talking. Sure, it's only the internet where you can't see a person face-to-face, but they're still people. Even if you're trash-talking for fun, do note you're doing this to 4 other real people, and at some point, you will hurt their feelings if you're gonna continue like this.

This isn't real life. This is Riot's game and Riot's rules. You are not allowed to verbally abuse anyone whether you believe they deserve it or not.

If this is something you cannot abide by, you have two choices: leave the game or continue your bad behavior and be FORCED to leave the game.

"this isnt preschool" so why do you talk like you are in preschool and complain for getting punished?

IcyPepper1/10/2016, 2:12:42 PM3 votes

I think it's absurd some people think verbal abuse is okay.

Talk to smb on the street this way - u will understand why verbal abuse punishment is present. In the internet nobody can whoop your ass so you are a hero. But it is the same society with same rules. If u dare to harrass anybody - be ready for comeback for your victim

If there is a mute button why do have verbal abuse reporting??

If there are shutters or blinds on your windows, why can I be arrested for trespassing? Just shut your shutters and it's like I'm not even there anymore.

^Real life version of your flawed logic.

In short, the existence of countermeasures is NOT a valid excuse for doing something wrong. Ideally, the countermeasures shouldn't be necessary in the first place. Work on your behavior before complaining that others aren't doing enough to put up with your behavior.

How to not get banned.

  1. When the games starts say "GLHF!"

  2. Type "/mute all"

  3. Play the game!

  4. You can be as toxic as you want now! Type whatever! Your teammates can't see it!

  5. ??????????

  6. Profit

I read the post and the comments. I am more of a "respect me and I'll respect you" kind of guy, so I will agree with Desecrate but not entirely. It is pretty annoying, because the other player that trolls wastes at least 30 minutes of your time. I mean even now that I think about it, it frustrates me. And yes, I have flamed at this kind of people in-game (still no punishment on me though, maybe because I don't swear a lot), but at the end of the day, flaming at that person won't change anything. You will feel better though (I know I will) but unless that person gets punished, his behavior will remain the same. On the other hand, flaming does actually hurt feelings, and you never know what kind of person sits behind that screen and how personally he will get those comments. Just let it go and ask your team and the opposite team to report him, explaining in a calm way why he should be punished.
