Asking other people to report someone does nothing besides alienate the player in question. It counts as harassment, and will validate reports made against you.
If you really want a person reported, report them yourself. The IFS only requires one report to trigger a review, and extra reports past the first don't increase the likelihood of punishment.
As for your two-week suspension, you either had a 25-game Chat Restriction prior, or you used zero-tolerance chat.

What nuance does there need to be? A player gets reported, their behavior gets reviewed, and a punishment (if necessary) gets applied. There doesn't need to be anything more than that.
As for toxic players getting away and non-toxic players getting banned;
You don't know whether or not they got away - unless of course you didn't report them, in which case, them getting away is on you. And also, non-toxic players don't get banned. You have to break the rules to actually get punished, and non-toxic players don't break the rules.

You're allowed to get upset. You're not allowed to take that frustration out in the chat. The best response is to mute the player, do your best to ignore them, and report them post-game.
If you mute them, their shit-talking will fall on deaf ears.

So what? A high death score doesn't automatically indicate that you're intentionally feeding. Let them report you - if you weren't feeding, you're not gonna get punished.
