Loot & craft permanent restriction?

i just got back to this game made a new account forgot my old one...and i got my first chat restriction after a week (i only work 3 days a week so i'm on quite often so 60ish games prob had a few bad games where i foamed at the mouth lol) and after reading up on some posts and what not is it true once you get only ONE penalty such as 8 game chat restriction you are ineligible for loot for 3 + months? assuming you don't do anything again? if so...how does one equate 3 months being on "good behavior" as punishment is it a month per penalty lol?

i don't get this...this is literally the ONLY game i've seen with such long term penalties...this literally makes no sense to me...i'm assuming this is a way to help people become more positive in their game-play but...having such long penalties is absurd and will have the opposite affect. this type of penatly should be put on people with 3 + strikes not their first chat restriction...

As long as you're not toxic, I wouldn't expect it to take more than 2 weeks for a 10 game chat restriction.

i mean still 2 weeks for 8 game chat restriction i had legit 3 bad games in a row out of 60-70 games i tilted hard and went APE in the game lol i admit it...i wasnt yelling slurs or anything but i was just raging in those games and calling people out for like not dodging simple things repeatedly......find it lame...if not weird you're hit with a double punishment for this either way...and the restriction is worse than the actual punishment seems pretty severe for a first restriction...

The point of the chat restriction is to make you consider your actions. The point of the loot restriction is to not reward bad behavior. They do two different things.

i mean....that's like a police officer giving you a ticket...you go to the courthouse pay the ticket...and on your way out they arrest you and say you're actually under arrest for X days...we'll let you out when we decided you've been good...

well thats how it feels lol....

like imo a majority of players will get restrictions along the way...the people who don't are people who are doing voice chats...and those are typically duos or premades or w.e

is there a way to turn off chat then? that may solve my problem...simply speaking upsets people and virtually anything can be deemed toxic if it wasn't "good job" or something along those lines...so if i remove chat or turned it off i can't be toxic per say.

There is a /muteall command. You can minimize/drag the chat off screen. You can unbind your enter key.

And saying the majority of players get chat restricted is not entirely correct. I don't remember the exact percentage, but I do know that Riot has stated, based on collected data, that less than 10% ever get past the first chat restriction.

Which lines up with your reaction actually. Its your first restriction and you are already seeking methods to prevent future punishments.

To that end, here is some useful information about the system:

Reports do not lead directly to punishment. They lead to a review of the match for the player being reported. 9 reports are no different than 1 report, it just flags the match for review.

Once your account has a certain number of flagged matches associated with it, the system randomly selects some of those matches for review. Once reviewed, if you did nothing wrong in any of those matches, the reports are thrown out and those players future reports become less valuable.

The severity of the punishment is not based on severity of offense. It is a 4 strike system, where severity of the punishment is based on how many strikes you have accrued:

1st strike - 10 game chat ban 2nd strike - 25 game chat ban 3rd strike - 14 day full ban 4th strike - perma

There is an exception for hate speech, racial slurs, or extreme cases of toxicity, that will result in skipping and going straight to 3rd or 4th strike.

Do not announce your intent to report or mute other players. It just angers them, and makes the match worse for everyone involved. Just mute them and report at the end of the match.

Retaliation is against the rules. Spam is against the rules. It is ok to try and diffuse a situation once or twice. But if it is clear they are not receptive to your attempt, then stop.

Dude, you just can't go around being dicks to people. And if you do, you are obviously going to be penalized. All you have to do is not be an asshole. Swearing at people, calling them retards, fuckers, dickhead, or just being negative and saying haha you're the worst player I've ever seen just isn't ok. It ruins the game for everyone involved and it is frustrating for anyone who has to deal with it.

Also, it's not your job to go social justice warrior, toxic flame lord on trolls. Just ignore them, mute them, accept that it happens sometimes (by the way its a result of toxicity, this is why we have punishments for people who are asses in ANY WAY in the game), and them report them after game and send brief report if you want to vent.

By the way, most people DO NOT get banned. A tiny minority get banned, even from chat. Personally, I think you were probably an ass to the people around you, you got banned because of it, and there are consequences you just have to deal with. I think not getting complimentary, FREE stuff is an appropriate punishment for being toxic personally. Hopefully you figure it all out and be a little nicer to everyone you meet, instead of blaming other and being extremely upset.

It's like getting a speeding ticket and you losing the 'good driver' discount on your insurance.

If you only had a 10-game chat restriction and your penalty was from having a few bad games outside of the norm it shouldn't be too long before you are receiving loot.

hopefully that is the case, it wasn't 10 game chat restriction btw mine said 8 maybe i got the notice after a couple games o.0?

good driver's discount refers to accidents atleast in my insurance it does in that case one person is at fault and punished while the other get reparations for time and damage that the other caused to them...on top of which even if it was your fault you DO NOT lose it on your first accident they take previous record into account you'll lose it on a second within a given time frame (typically within 6 months of your first accident, something similar to your redeem system). I know this from first hand experience ;) atleast that's how it is in California. Here on your first strike you are hit with both a chat restriction and loot restriction...personally i think chat restriction alone would be fine as your first punishment without any previous strike and after you complete said games a reminder of any continuous behavior would result in punishments including loot...just off the back getting hit with both seems unfair...if not unjust...

either or i'm just going to disable chat, sucks i need to result to that...this is first game with such a large player base i've played in that has such strict communication and rules for communication...you can't curse...but there are mature filters...you can't respond to toxic behavior/talk or you're deemed as toxic or part of the problem...trying to diffuse a situation even though it isn't going anywhere can count you part of the problem apparently..etc..hopefully i don't get banned now for not communicating...lol

i appreciate you spent the time to respond to me btw, my brother works for blizzard and i know how busy you guys get...also annoyed with people on the forums haha.

You just simply need to prove to Riot that you have reformed and are behaving more appropriately, and that takes time for the system to actual cross-check that you have behaved. Of course, the amount of time it takes is dependent on what you were punished for and how sever it was.

Hextech Crafting is a luxury given to players with good behaviour and is formated toward mastering new champions and playing more with pre-mades, to create a greater importance to teamwork.

You want loot, stop being toxic.

Simple as that mate. Something that helps is muting everyone and not typing in chat, remember people on the internet can't hear you scream at your computer, but they damn well can pull up chat logs.

Because of this restriction doesn't end and i want loot i created 4 account smurfs in different regions, there is very bad players that should be punished for feeding. In logical way, if there wouldn't be any feeding blasts from players others wound't be enraged and wouldn't behave inappropriate. I assume that feeding players should get restrictions that provoke anger while you trying to increase the rank. How it can't be no anger when you trying to increase rank then after wasted many time you are in the same point where you started, just because of other players that don't put effort in learning new stuff and brainlessly playing against more experienced player, I'm not saying I'm legendary player everyone feeds time to time. But players with experience can recover and don't feed in score like 0/15/3. So I won't stop flaming on people that do nothing good, now i have 4 flaming accs, from 1 to 4, because of this restriction. IF you really want to make a change RIOT. Create a system that would took a level 30 from players, that loses many games in count of number of deaths in game.
