Can someone explain to me about Promos?

So today i've play my Ranked game to get to silver 5 and was very positive on this one game, but I suddenly remembered that I had one problem... Trolls... Trolls that knew that i'm in promos. What is the meaning of this that people get queue'd with trolls, i mean this one guy named C9 Herbie straight up just started getting toxic with me and others while blatently calling me out saying "why are you bronze aatrox, get good" and its just not fair for people who want to climb. Even though i tried to keep it calm it really wasn't enough to do anything about it but lose and I even muted him knowing that he's still harassing me. Near the end of the game i see in all chat "Sorry about your promos aatrox" like what the hell? I've just been trolled the whole time? I don't understand, I got first blood and did well tping to bot but had to sacrifice top turret because the jungler was trolling and didn't want to gank. I don't know what else to do now should i just keep trying to climb despite this?
