So I tray to logo into lol last night and I could not. I look into my email saw this email saying Hello Summoner,

Your account: verdunkelt was banned due to the use of malicious 3rd party programs or modifications to your League of Legends client. We believe that all players should play on equal footing in an effort to promote competitive sportsmanship. You should be aware that modifying your League of Legends client is against the Terms of Use: http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/legal/termsofuse. We hope you can see that it is unsatisfying to play against other players who are using a tool to gain an advantage over others.

If you wish to dispute the actions taken against your account, you may contact us via this link: http://support.riotgames .com

Only programs I ever run way I play lol are thus voice chart program to chat with friends and a music player. I put in a ticket have not seen anything back from theme yet. but I was wondering if this is a normal thing. I been playing from pre season one and using vent and TeamSpeak that way I don't understand. The only new thing I have used is league friends that one is put out by riot so I don't understand

Not unless the one you chose is really sketchy and does more than that. The ones you listed wouldn't have anything that interacts with League in such a manner. The kinds of programs they are talking about are the ones that provide scripts or extra information not available to the other players. Technically any interaction or modification of the client is against the rules, but Riot doesn't currently punish for harmless custom skins and overlays.

Here are some guidelines for the use of 3rd party apps to help clarify their position; http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/miscellaneous/5kx4F7VE-reminder-third-party-applications

Skype, Vent, and TS are not 3rd party programs because they do not attach to your league client or modify it.

Curse is in a grey area, considering it did get players banned. No idea on what the consensus is for that one from Riot nowadays.

League Friends wouldn't get you banned either.

Think really hard on this. Is there ANY type of software you might have downloaded at some point that could modify your league client? This can be anything from cosmetic to actual scripting programs. These bans aren't accidental to my knowledge, so either you or someone else used unsupported 3rd party software on your account which got you banned. Even if you downloaded it, logged in, but didn't play a game before logging out and uninstalling the program, it still counts as using it.

Unfortunately that's all I can help with until you get a response from Riot :/ they have the answers, I can only speculate what the answers might be.
