In the last 15-20 games I have played I have noticed WAY more:
I am not sure if it is just my string of games, what do you all think?
P.S. I am not saying I am perfect and never rage or whatever, just even games we are winning people will blow up over the stupidest things.
I've played online games since Everquest was released. (1999) ((okay, a couple of MUDs before that))
This last year in League, and getting worse and worse by the month, is the absolutely most toxic gaming experience I have ever had. Incidentally, the community has been rough since the population explosion after Season 1, but it has NEVER been this bad.
Edit: Was told to go F* myself earlier for saying gl hf, and spent the game being spam pinged by a 3 person premade. As an example.
I think it's about the same, because the community three months ago was and still is very toxic.
Any "team" aspect this game had is dead or dying This game is no longer about "Work as a team to destroy the enemy nexus" it has now become "degrade and insult your team while you go for most kills on the team" People are happy to throw the match as long as they can brag about having "most kills" on the team. As long as they can tell the rest of their team how "god aweful trash" their team is. players are so arrogant and full of themselves that they dont want to play as a team. They want the most kills they want all the praise, they dont care about objectives.
Players have gotten more and more arrogant, more toxic, more full of themselves.
I think it already got more toxic 3 months ago =P
But I can't really tell. (also bare in mind, your title will attract people who agree, sorry to point that out)
To me Toxicity seems to allign with loss-streaks, more than anything else. So long as you're winning / playing meta, people are happier than a toddler in a candy factory.
It is the same unless you have a suspension on your account and no honor, then it should be worse for you as I am pretty sure its linked in with your MMR now.

I mostly think its fortnite this game is starting to die and people are to angry to play league when there's no balance when someone gets fed so people wanna retreat to fortnite and have fun with nice peaceful action colorful game
