Riot should bring back the reform system.

I know this may be just an opinion, but I know quite a few people that agree with me. Back in around season two Riot had a system for people that got permanently banned, they could go through a system that would almost 80 % of the time work to reform the player and they would never get a ban again, I for one have got such things and think if I were to ever be permanently banned with how much time and money I have invested into this game, would be absolutely depressed over it. I think that it would be much better to have something like that, because Riot Games is the only (Trash) company to permanently ban people over things that aren't; hacking. That's not what happened. It was very close to 100% of people would revert to their previous behavior.

on topic with this, thoughts on having a similar system come back for the small population that really regrets loosing their main (all the time and money spent)?

Maybe after a super long reform period instead of just try to level lvl 20?

i would like to add however. back when the level 20 challenge was created. "refusing to communicate" was still a report option. so players didnt have the option to /mute all like they do now. also. the players selected were hand picked by riot. which could have been VERY easily set up to fail to justify permabans. and i would also add that ive brought these 2 points up before and havent gotten a single response

Refusing to communicate has never been punishable. Just like unskilled player was never punishable. That is why those categories were removed from the report dialog. Players did have the option to mute all.

I want to be clear that we don't WANT to perma-ban players. We perma-ban players when we feel they will not improve, and it is our way of telling them their behavior is not welcome in League of Legends. We want them to go play other games, and have fun.

I have seen SO MANY people perma-banned for no reason what so ever besides a bad game. I think your system for banning is actually trash. You really need to "hand pick" the people you ban better. We all improve and banning someone cause they have a certain personality to get more mad more often, is bullshit (sorry for the french again).

Riot gave up on that along time ago. Every player that attempted to earn back their account failed. Riot didn't set any of them up for failure and didn't hand pick anyone.

Not wanting to perma ban a player makes perfect sense, as it potentially costs them a paying customer. Riot is a business that wants to see league grow while staying profitable.

If you feel I dint reform but you stil allow me to make more accounts simply for your own purpose of consumers playing the game while no IP bans are issued out. Then how is your ban system even effective. youre full of shit, stick to the script you have been provided to avoid any real conversations right.

No but can you actually believe these idiots?. I sent them SCREENSHOTS of me in process of using hacks to take other peoples account, generate rp, and ingame modifiers. All they say " every account treated as a separate entitiy" So as long as I keep making new ones or taking someone elses I am a free bird, and If I can do it then anyone else can. No IP ban, not only do they claim their ban systems work but they cant even do it properly.

My actions were in direct response to their stupidity of making me wait 5 months and still not giving me a proper conclusion to my orginal case. They cant do anything about it, just utter garbage.

I did tho agree with your post, sadly nothing will be done. Every board member support team has to stick to their scripts provided. So if you try to have a real conversation it will never happen. they are pretty much human bots lol.

No you are actually wrong sir, I checked it myself and when I was playing in season two it was working VERY well most of my friends were toxic and reformed after getting set back to level twenty, AND as more proof I myself was permanently banned during that time and it made me reform immanently as did lots of others. Sorry.

So... you're told that it didn't work, you were even told to what massive degree it failed to work, and you reply is to refuse to accept that? Anecdotal evidence such as yours, even assuming you're telling the truth is next to worthless given the tiny sample pool you're working with. Riot has access to the full picture and you were told exactly how useless the experiment turned out to be.

People who get banned have to go through, in general, several different punishment tiers to ever get to perma ban status. Unless you're the type to send out death treaths, or use awful hate speech, you won't be banned with warning. And if you do any of those, you -deserve it-.

Read the statistic posts Riot has posted many times before. Only a tiny fraction of the playerbase are hit with a chat restriction, and most of those are never hit again. A fraction of the people go on to be hit by another chat restriction, and only a fraction of those hit the 14 day ban. If people like that haven't reformed by then, they're not going to reform at all. That's the point of a permanent ban. They -have- been given a second chance. More than one. They ignored it. It's on them. We're all responsible for our own behavior, and actions have consequences. Yes, it'd suck to lose something you've spent time and money on, but you need to realize that you the only one to blame for the situation is you. Instead of bitching at Riot or calling them liars, instead have a proper look at yourself. Learn from the experience. Take the lost account as the price you had to pay to learn a valuable life lesson. Make something good come out of the shitty situation you put yourself in.

And this isn't targetted at just you, but for the many, many people who've made claims of 'no really, I'll do better this time if you just give me one more chance' after getting banned.

As for Riot's ban system, if you'd read their posts or knew a little bit about networking, you'd know why IP bans are next to worthless, and comes with the risk of hitting innocent players.

It's basically your word against Riot's... Just that Riot has less incentive to lie about it, and has ultimately the better way of creating such statistics: Best possible distribution of samples, with the maximum sample size (can't get a better sample than literally everybody) 100% perfect way of determining the desired variable (Technically people could have lied to you about being unbanned or not, they can't lie to Riot)

And while I know my personal experience isn't really "scientific", this is the first time I even heard of anybody supposedly passing the reform system, and I've been lurking the forums since first preseason.

I personally think that Riot should really give more of a chance to the people who honestly want to reform, I was perma banned and I honest to god just want my main back. I understand now how you ban (although I personally think the system is terrible) I was my main back, and if I can't say a few bad words without being permanently banned for it, I would honestly try my best not to.

I know a lot of people who are serious, and I don't want to sound odd.. but like serious depressed over losing that like; On my main account I had been playing since beta being a nice person and for a few bad weeks I got permanently banned after also putting half my savings into this game because I loved it. Please back me up on this someone, I really want my main back and I think reformation can happen through a system like that.

Least you can do is annoy Riot over it, and hope they make their system, less "We are here for the money, spend time and money on this game then we permanently ban you so you get to start over". To hopefully for the future of league players "We have a chance to play the game without having to mute every game in fear of getting permanently banned.

well i almost killed myself the day i got perma banned because that day i found out my mother died and my father was just a complete ahole like beat his child whenever he has the chance and i log on to see i have a perma ban of something i didnt even do and yea i got perma ban because my mom loved this one skin so i played it for her she gave me rp every month where i can buy a 1850 RP champ and yet thats all wasted i just want my main back and screw the rest of my accounts

i honestly think its bull to not have a reform system i commented below on my situation where riot was almost a cause of someones death that would have been really bad for them if it were to go on news and stuff but i honestly almost killed myself because of riot that day so yea all i want is my account its not the money i spent its just one skin i want from my account that means alot to me because my mom liked it before she passed and yea thats the only reason i want it back and i dont flame no more on my new account

Yeah, going off that (assuming what you said is true) I am really sorry for you too. I have a similar story to that I just don't feel like saying it cause what should it matter to Riot as Ifwe said. Been stuck for a long ass while too actually six and a half thousand hours on league of legends so I am just doing this to see if Riot will budge their money hogging asses a little and make an exception or two for people like you and me.
