Is botting plaguing low level accounts?

I just started a new account and I noticed that many people are botting at low levels, especially in co-op vs AI. From what I've noticed, they run into jungle camps and get executed over and over again. I had a jungle Nami (with no smite) go 0/22/0 from executions. I tried to communicate with and even help the player, but didn't even respond to me. I've had several examples of this sort of behavior and I'm not sure if riot removes these accounts or even if reporting really does anything against botting.

Bot accounts get banned in waves to make it harder for botters to determine what made the system get triggered.

It's always a plague in F2P games since there is no barrier to entry.

OMG THANK YOU! I had made a post on this ages ago and was going to make another one but you beat me to it! Yes there is pretty much at least one in every single bot game and I feel that @Riot is doing very little to prevent/remove these accounts/people from doing this. Hopefully I'm wrong but I'm leveling up a smurf and just playing bot games currently and out of the 50+ games, I think only 1 or 2 have been all real humans.

The bots either just go jungle and execute themselves...generally they either have smite and never buy anything but the starting items...or if the account is too low for smite, they just take a refillable potion (generally hunters potions) and execute over and over again. I had one bot that ended up running down mid over and over and over again. He was 0/25/0 by the end of the game.

Whether it's people using a botting program to just farm up for BE, or a company using it to level to 30 to sell, I would imagine Riot would want to stop and prevent this because they are losing money.

Not only that but imagine if it's a game full of brand new players that have never played the game before. What an awful first impression of a game this would be! Especially since they are dying from lack of knowledge and you have this bot just dying over and over again, possibly feeding the bots...it makes a Bot game almost unwinnable since you don't know what you're doing. SMH....I wish they would do something.

Yeah I had the same issues here, trying to get better with the game or learn new champions with bots. I'm not a developer either but hopefully Riot can take care of it relatively quickly. So far having fun with the game

The reason this is happening is very simple - Riot has made leveling up much too arduous of a chore for the vast majority of reasonable people; MOST new accounts are now alts for people who already play, you would have to be an actual fucking crazy person to level up an alt to level 30 by hand. Riot thinks by increasing the time it takes to level up, people will maybe buy some skins along the way or something? I'm not sure of the thought process behind making level 30 take like 500 games but it's pretty clear nobody really cares about leveling up legitimately and I think it'd be unreasonable to expect anything different.

I'm playing on new account and it's has its fill of afks, bots, and flamers. i wanted to create a new one to have one separate for special game modes.

3 afks on my team in one game alone in an non-AI game lol. The bots seem to be occasional. Maybe every other game one or two bots. Usually it seems to be a bot on each team.

The flamers you can tell pretty fast. They are usually passive aggressive and typically lack self-control to rage or taunt. You can see by the movements and what happens in team fights they are trying soo hard to not type anything but usually do. These are the people that have been previously banned but keep returning lol. >_>

I've noticed that too. I saw a few with heal and flash. They never use flash though. If they do its at the weirdest times. Like repeatedly flashing backwards under their turret when no one is around.

oops double post. ;)

In my old account a few months ago, I wasn’t the best at the game and I got an email that I was botted? I was permanently suspended from the game for doing nothing? I really liked that account and it made me really upset. I’m really confused what this means and how I can stop it?

Sukishoo2/6/2018, 9:06:32 PM1 votes

Yeah, that's happened for some odd years in low levels. Hell, I still see them every now and then when I play Blind 3s and my account is 71 now >_<

I made a new account and got to level 8 and had an ARAM game where all 4 of my teammates were bots and 2 of the 5 on the other team were bots. I haven't bothered with that account since. I assume if they get reported and banned they just create a new one and the problem would be never ending. They should just take away all level restrictions now so that people don't feel the need to bot to get to a desired level. I don't know if that would help though since maybe some of them are also botting for more blue essence. But I don't see botting at all on my main.
