League Today, Platinum II Player: Hate Speech and Harassment (Screen Caps Included)

I started a match with a friend in Duo Que and stated i was new to thresh, please don't "Spaz out and flame me if i'm not good" it wasn't directed at any individual and it is a true statement, i've got less than 3 games with Thresh on record. A player, who happens to be platinum II ELO in rank; called me a "%%%%%% %%%got" after my statement. To which i replied, wtf, that's not welcome on league there's not place for it. To which he stated "What are you going to do report me" and then began to barrage me with additional insults such as "you're a pussy" "that's what the internet and games are for you moron" and more.

I started the match, said nothing to this player because i didn't want to invoke his rage again, and the entirety of the match he continued to barrage no only me but my team-mates as well. He then calls on the opposite team to report a player who said nothing all game, like didn't type anything in chat, in attempts to deflect the blame from him.

This player then continued to insult me after the match and after i left the match room, after reporting, they attempted to friend me in what i assume was an attempt to further the harassment. Now this is unbearable, and quite literally the bane of Leagues existence. I play many Mobas and this is by far the most toxic community i have ever been in, and i am not a new player at all. When is something going to be done to stop this daily abuse by its players, and this can't be blamed on "a new player" this guy is PLAT II !

This is your community Riot, a Platinum II player who harasses and destroys the spirit of the game and community with this hate speech and extreme negativity.

Hey guys,

Name and Shame is not cool and not allowed so I've gone ahead and edited out the remaining parts of the thread that violated this rule including the images. This thread is also more treading into the realm of reporting another player which is against the Universal Rules. People on the Boards can't do anything about toxic players and this isn't the best way to get Riot's attention regarding specific instances of toxicity. The best thing to do in the future is simply report the player after the game. If you can't do that for some reason, you can also send a report ticket to Riot with any evidence you may have.

Name And Shames are forbidden on the forums. If you have a problem with a player in game, use the in game report function, or open a ticket with Riot Support (seriously though, they prefer if you use the Report button, the IFS is in place for a reason.)

What a generalization. I rarely ever see what you are describing. Sorry that is your experience. Maybe things get worse in platinum, I've only ever been in silver. Things aren't that bad. Sure I've seen it before, but like I said, rarely. Big deal. Mute em. Ignore em. It's a stranger on the internet. At least he didn't troll from the sound of it, and Riot is pretty good at punishing people for chat offenses.

They probably won't do anything even if you gift wrapped the proof and mailed it to Riot HQ with a giant chocolate cake. I lost faith in Riot after they ignored my screenshots, reports, and tickets of players saying %%%got, %%%%, and %%%%%%. Good luck though, you will need it.

They are more likely to be passive aggressive with "official" speak, than to actually look into your case. Or delete your thread and comments like they were never there. You could say I am pretty resentful and don't care anymore :)
