honor level 0 rules are unfair

So from many riot support tickets and research, I found out that once you hit honor level 0, being reported in any game halts your progress which means even if you receive honors, they wont progess you towards level 1 in any way for a while.

Riot has suggested to me since I have hit honor level 0, to play co-op vs ai games since they are faster with a higher chance of honor and more games.

I have played almost 100 bot games now and made no progess and I feel like it's because I get reported in bot games because noobs say that I 'Ks' them when I'm trying to win, which in turn the reports halt my honor progress.

This is incredibly unfair, because I am playing the game as it is intended and am now currently being punished for following the rules instead of breaking them because of these bogus reports.

Does anyone else think that this is unfair? I am going to try grind out 1000 games of bots before the end of season to try and get to honor level 2 for end of season rewards, but if I don't reach it, even after riot suggested that I play bots, then their system is broken in that people can send unfair reports which automatically punish you even if the reports are not punishable and you don't actually break any rules.

It should be noted that "being reported" means "being legitimately reported."

In effect, if your behavior is bad enough to get a valid report but NOT bad enough to trigger a punishment, it still stops you from getting honor progression.

False reports don't count against you in any way.

Let me stop you right here.

It's only valid reports that halt your progress. False reports don't do anything to your account.

The same applies even when you are h4.

Just an addition here. These rules don't apply ONLY when you're honor level 0. They apply all across the spectrum. If you're honor level 4 and you start exhibiting mild toxic behavior that isn't enough for you to get punished, it will still slow your progress to honor level 5.

i dont believe it to be unfair because invalid reports do not count

if someone accuses you of "KS'ing" them and reports you. provided you did nothing wrong, then nothing will happen

Reports only halt progress if theyre valid reports.

I would recommend to you say honor for honor, before game ends

Best thing to do is as you get to any game, mute all. Then even then if someone has an issue with something you may do, you wont be tempted to respond and therefore no actual action will befall you since you never said anything back.

Just food for thought. No one has any proof if Riot is lying or not. It's already been proven for example in Overwatch that ANY report against you, valid or not, halts your endorsement progress. No one has any proof that ANY report, even if it's INVALID, halts your honor progress or not here. Companies lie all the time to save face. Even the government lies all the time to save face. It's part of society.

If Riot actually wanted to PROVE their system works and works as it should, they would give an honor experience counter bar, and NOT manipulate the numbers (tinfoil hat). But you learn never to trust ANYTHING anyone tells you without proof. So I call BS.

Update -

I have played 100 bot games with no premade players since I received the email from riot suggesting that I try it,

Currently 100 bot games of positive behaviour, averaging at least 1 honor per game, ~ 100 honors so far.

Not a single checkpoint.
