It's kinda weird to report someone for saying gg ez

Well, game ends and I'm kinda salty. But I don't say anything in the chat.

Then one of the enemy says GG EZ but you know, it's no big deal, usually. I was salty so I reported him because I remember that being a rule; you can't say GG EZ.

Well, it's kinda hard saying "he said gg ez" in the report box with a straight face. Does anyone else feel like this? Wouldn't a more rational person just move along and not whine over someone saying "GGEZ"?

I mean an exaggerated example would be saying it's similar to an adult was playing dodge-ball with a kid and tossing the ball full force at the kids face to win and then saying "wow that game was easy."

It's unsportmen like conduct and that is something you can report in the game. I mean you're not required to report it and I basically don't unless the person was harassing someone in game but there is nothing stopping anyone from reporting everyone they see doing it.

If you're really sensitive (like nearly everyone in this community) gg ez will wreck noobs. You can just let it go and not be so salty or you can rage and report like everyone.

Well when some streamers, popular and unpopular say it, outloud, on live stream it sets a bad example, "they said it and received no punishment so why shouldn't I?"

I dont watch him anymore but Trick2g in particular used to say it on live stream EVERY game, just never typed it in chat.

Yeah its rude and probably should be said but with some "pro" players saying things like this it just set a trend.

Another example was Dyrus famous quote of "Later nerd" This is also something that can be taken offense at by some.

But hey! what can you do? as long as they didnt say any naughty words dont expect riot to step in.

Riot doesn't control what people say outside of their game. If streamers say the wrong things on their streams, don't watch their streams.

Here's the bottom line: You say "gg ez" in chat and someone reports you for it, odds are that Riot will punish you for it. But then again, we can always point out your mistake in the thread you make after you're banned. Your choice.

There is one time you can say GG Ez.

That's when the team has Ezreal lol

Yes, you obviously shouldn't report just for that. In the end, it's just an opinion and no different from using an emoticon. Would you report "gg hard"? Are they not allowed to think the game was easy?

I don't say it myself and it's obviously not nice but only an oversensitive person would consider that a reportable offense. However, there is no objective requirement for reports... it's just mob rule. If a bunch of people think even saying "its a rainy day" is Unsportsman, people will eventually get banned for saying it. There is no rationality or logic beyond a simple consensus. Riot has already admitted this before you chime in and tell me "if you did nothing wrong, X". False reports are also a problem but that's still a bit different.

If it were as simple as someone saying "GG," there wouldn't be an issue. But tacking on "ez" at the end just to rub it in is not cool.

It reminds of an instance during little league baseball when I was a kid. The city brought in an out of town team to play my team because there were no other teams at our age group and not enough of us to divide us in to two teams. The out of town players were state ranked and competed nationally as well. After three innings, it was very clear that we were outmatched by only looking at the scoreboard. It was fourteen to nothing by the start of the fourth inning. At that point, the out of town team started being obnoxious. They were imitating chicken calls at our pitcher (he was new to the position and kept committing balk after balk after balk.) When they would get to home plate, they would all power slide a good five feet. There were other things as well. Oddly enough, none of the umpires or league organizers would ask them to stop. They all thought it was funny. At the fifth inning with a score of twenty two to nothing, the game was called. We were told to go shake their hands. Of course, the other team continued to make us feel bad by doing the "You're too slow" and moving their hands away. Needless to say, little league for our team ended that day. Many kids did not want to return and parents asked the league to return their entry fees. There still wasn't another team for us to play anyway.

You just were handed a humiliating loss in LoL. Not a single kill for your side or loss of any turret for your enemy. They trounce over you and always fall back when storming your Nexus. Finally, your surrender goes through and all you see in end game chat from the other team is "gg ez." Really? Did they HAVE to do that? The community has told Riot they don't like that kind of harassment and Riot punishes people for it since it's unsportsmanlike.

Go figure.
