Well league it was fun but generation snowflake seems to think its good to antagonize other players and then when you defend yourself they cry out report and then have their duo partner also report. GG riot your game went downhill after season 6 and being perma banned is probably best thing for me as the community is very toxic and to the point of not even being fun or entertaining anymore. By the way when you only provide chat logs for what you say it is easy to pull things out of context and i was wondering if you ever even bother to check the chat logs of those who actually do the reporting to determine if those individuals are actually antagonizing and egging the toxic behavior on. Maybe in the future to keep things fair and unbias actually read into reports instead of use bots to determine hey this person typed 10 times in chat they must be toxic and actually read what is being said instead of perma banning an account that has been active since season 2. Time and money invested should also be considered prior to permanently banning an account as well as the standing of those who are doing the reporting.

TLDR: The life cycle of this game is near its end and I doubt this will stay on forums long as censorship is on the rise

As long as you're not retaliating, you won't get punished for defending yourself. Mind you that defending yourself means muting the source of toxicity, not responding to it. Also, multiple reports have the exact same effect as only one report. More change nothing, which is why premade reports, for example, don't matter at all and won't increase the likelihood of someone getting punished.

What other people did is, essentially, irrelevant, because we're discussing your behaviour here. If someone else broke the rules, they will have their own case to worry about, but you are responsible for what you type in chat. It doesn't matter who starts a flame war, but who participates in it.

Manual reviews of every single chat related report aren't possible. There are way too many games being played at any given moment for Riot to install something like that. On top of that, their current IFS system, which is in charge of dealing with these topics, boasts high speed, lofty reform rates and outstanding accuracy.

No, it shouldn't, because spending money doesn't unlock any extra privileges. Same goes for the amount of time you spent playing this game. It would make no sense if we were able to use those as a shield against the rules.

Don't defend yourself in games, it's pointless. Mute their ass, and then report that behavior after the game.

Besides, automated system is really the only way punishments can be handled. There's waaaaay too many players for Riot to manually review them all.

Well in the event that a permanent ban would be issued a human touch should be involved otherwise what is the point in attempting to reform. How many people own multiple accounts yet perform the same way and never learn their lesson? This is one reason i feel toxicity prevails and those who stand against it will end up eating crow in the long run as the cycle will go full circle eventually as the players get older and new crowds come in, solo players be damned.

Once it reaches the perma-ban stage it's no longer about getting a person to reform. A perma-ban is Riot's best method to encourage a player to go elsewhere.

Yeap it's definitely going downhill per last years earnings. Anyone that comes here speaking out about permas is downvoted to oblivion. Companies that ignore real feedback and think they're always right are doomed.

One day there will be a game that offers a competitive 5v5 environment where there is not chat involvement and the only way a player will be reported is by means of afking or inting, i look forward to that game personally. Hopefully this will happen before i die.

The funny thing is that I hurt someones feelings, I hadn't ever said anything racist, homophobic or any other type of hate speech. Yet my old account has been deemed worthy of being perma banned because I refused to support a toxic playstyle of players who opt to play ADC yet don't fulfill their roles. This by Riots standards is a bannable offense.

I know this feeling, i am only ever a little toxic when people are to me since i tell them to leave me alone and explain what inting means. My main got perm banned. And like, everyone who knows me was shocked as I'm not toxic whatsoever. Riots terrible system banning the victims of toxicity and not the actual toxicity.

The only thing you can control in the game is yourself. You decide how to respond to toxicity.

You should have just ignored/muted him, reported him, let him get banned, and you move on to another game. Instead you're the one that's been banned.

RIOT wants money, RIOT wants to appease the largest audience possible. Consider that... They will ban anyone, if it keeps the largest paying demographic "happy" The largest demographic currently are millennial snowflakes that require safe-spaces to go to college. I'm sure i'll get banned for just saying THAT here. I know it would be a call to "report report report!!!!" in a Game! Don't speak bro, that's what they want you to do, don't speak. Fahrenheit 451 is becoming reality. (screen shotting all my forum convos for evidence, because china-this-way-comes) or i'm just super paranoid.

perhaps you feel that is worthy of perma banning an account but personally i would just prevent them from typing at all ingame permanently if it were my game and this behavior persisted, better yet prevent they from seeing chat as well. alas they rather have the player create a new account though i dont understand how they expect to continue to make money from that customer once they have been burned.

KDA Umbra you've missed his main point, I'm afraid. In life, rather to assume a persons wrong, you're supposed to first assume you've misunderstood their position. Which I'll try to do now. You did correct him on a lot of points like money doesn't buy privilege. Two wrongs don't make a right, things like this. But the spirit of the argument is the unfairness and inability to punish this behavior to begin with. And I think the spirit of your reply agrees with the OP. There's so much of a grey area to navigate through when two different perspectives clash, that you can't favor either side. This is why you can't report for toxicity, since beauty is after all; in the eyes of the beholder. Short of certain harassment clauses in freedom of speech. It's either all equal, or none of it is. Somethings offensive to some, aren't to others. "GG EZ" may ruin your day enough to get 100's of dollars and days of game time erased from a player, but to me, they aren't equal in the slightest. "Go fuk urself ahri stop feeding" isn't the same as "I will find you and kill you.". (Disclaimer; this is an example and does not reflect any literal interpretations) The former is what the OP has issue with, since I often find myself sympathizing with Chad types. There are many types. Some reach out and hurt, some hide and defend themselves. These energies are what are known as the duality of the universe. It's the nature of life. Thickening our skins, agreeing to disagree, having the benefit of the doubt, being strong essentially, is the answer. Not banning, excluding, and segregating these two communities. Though you might agree with us, since you didn't explicitly say you didn't, only refuted the incorrect points in the post.

I prefer to elevate the correct position and convert the empirically incorrect points as sub plots to the conversation to deal with bit by bit. Having them elaborate further on why they think they're true. Since their shoes could look much differently then mine.

Ehh you are right, alas the effort i have spent in this game attempting to make a climb out of bronze in solo queue for the last 8 years is for not, have fun pleb adcs who refuse to grab heal as a spell.

If you haven't figured it out this is exactly what happening in the world. Toxic trolls and when you speak up about it the people in power tell you, listen, focus on YOUR behavior not everyone else's. SAD thing is in a community environment ALL people matter and interact. So in fact, IT DOES matter what the other people said and did. Hard to take RANKED seriously when they say, bend over, take it and mute them. That's ALL YOU CAN DO as recourse. And yes it absolutely happened to me previously multiple times to parties of 2+. They mass report you and you're screwed. Listen, start a new account, spend ALL YOUR LIFE AND MONEY ON IT and make RIOT more money. #trumpmentality
