had an asshole shaco jungler who just afk farmed and counter jungled which led to him dying in there jungle and led to a fed kha6 hard camping me and somewhat bot lane. shacos idea of helping was stealing waves and pushing my lane any time I back or died. but instead of raging I followed the rules I said nothing. instead I stopped caring if I die, didn't respond to pings for help, prioritize side lane farm over grouping or responding to enemy team pushing lanes and objectives. the shaco spam pinged me for these things so I know I pissed him off. while I would have liked to enlighten him on all the things he was doing that negatively impacted our team that' nots what riot wants. chatting = bad but being a bad teammate is ok in there book.

Riot logic

Type in chat = Ban

Ignore teammates and begin to int because you can't chat or else ban = Just fine

Examples of reportable behavior (By Lord Darius)

Being directly offensive to someone
Using socially offensive commentary
Purposefully losing the game
Refusing to support your team
Not participating in the match

Examples of acceptable behavior

Making mistakes or poor judgement calls during the game
Using strong but non-derogatory terms during the game
Viable tactical disagreements
Speaking a different language
Trying an unusual but viable strategy

Straight from the Reporting a Player article.

You may disagree with how your jungle played, and may blame him for something that happened, but you then refused to support your team and purposefully lost the match. I got this based on your text saying you ignored all requests from your team, and didn't care if you died. In this case, the Shaco seems to have done nothing reportable, but you did.

"shacos idea of helping was stealing waves and pushing my lane any time I back or died" < without the context of the number of cs vs cs you cannot just use a blanket statement like this and accept it at face value - there are reasons to shove a wave (trying to reset it vs intentionally creating a freeze)

Also EXP/gold is important not to be lost - free EXP for your jungler is a good thing.

A jungler that knows when to reset/freeze your lane is a good one. I cannot say if this was his intent or not, but I expect it was.

that's just bad play, you should know how it comes to mechanical champions in soloque. theirs will be a challenger smurf boosting a college friend in between classes. yours will dive the enemy fountain. (its funny though because yours wasn't bad, but not good either, but props to him having the most damage on the team. he also only had 3 deaths passed your teams side of the river.)

shacos idea of helping was stealing waves and pushing my lane any time I back or died.

"stealing" the wave when you backed or died, or pushing it to tower so it always ends up slow pushing back to you? also think about it. the minions die to other minions or to an allied tower. in either case that's gold lost that helps no one. at the very least since he shoves it, its getting something done.

but instead of raging I followed the rules I said nothing. instead I stopped caring if I die, didn't respond to pings for help, prioritize side lane farm over grouping or responding to enemy team pushing lanes and objectives.

which is still against the rules because now you just admitted to purposely playing against the team. this is griefing.

the shaco spam pinged me for these things so I know I pissed him off.

the fact that he spam pinged you for not helping means he expected you to fight also. the keyword being also, because that thereby proves even if he sucks, he is still trying to win. therefore in this scenario you described for us, you're actually the troll, since you admitted to purposely giving up and not wanting to help your team.

while I would have liked to enlighten him on all the things he was doing that negatively impacted our team that' nots what riot wants. chatting = bad but being a bad teammate is ok in there book.

you've got it backwards, riot has no problem whatsoever with telling a teammate what you think they are doing is wrong, they only have a problem if you insult them while you do it.

"shaco, stop pushing my waves, I need the CS" is OK "shaco wth are you doing stealing my farm. get outta my lane, waste someone elses time" is not.

"shaco can you group with us and flank the backline?" is OK "shaco stop AFK farming and group with the team damn it" is not.

"shaco try not to counter-jungle right now, the enemy jungle is warded and my lane has priority" is OK "shaco stop getting caught out noob" is not.

edit: I'm also going to go ahead and leave this here, I'm sure we can all tell who the REAL troll was.

Yeah exactly. You aren’t reasoning with a person you’re working around a computer program that has an algorithm that decides whether it’s punishable or not, context doesn’t matter. People on this forum defend it to the death because they’re brown nosers to this company.
