Got a chat ban for some pg-13 stuff. Except I was calling out a feeding toxic Kayn that was calling people "retard". Me and my duo got filled to our worst roles (bot lane) and still got the jungle Kayne fed, yet he only trash talked all game. Full disclosure: I have gotten a chat ban before, I posted about it as well. As I said then, there were two people involved and I simply hoped they got a ban as well. This time is complete nonsense.

Why would you repeat his toxic words? Just mute and report.

Yeah I should've muted earlier. I repeated what he said when he, and one of the other teammates asked why he should be reported. The only reason I even bothered was to get him reported. Ironically, my attempt to get a toxic (and by Riots own definition hateful) player a ban got me banned. It's really annoying that a ban that will affect my account for weeks or months while I try to repair honor and such is automatic by a bot and can easily get results like a false positive.

That bot is also easy to not fool. Just remember it's a bot and think about what you type.

I feel like, if that is the entirety of your chat log, you can contest it. Because I think the bot screened for the word "retard" likely when you were reported for "harassment" and it just restricted you because the word was indeed in your chat logs.

From what I saw the bans can't be contested. I agree that's how it happened, just a very annoying system.
