okay so a few games ago i was supp bard with this teemo troll adc who in champ select said trolling btw good by lp to you all. so i thought he was joking we get into game he buy 5 pots thats it then i said dude fuck off dont do this he just spams lol lol lol. so we get into lane and hes ~~csing~~ and then we fight at lvl 4 and he runs away after i engage and sits under turret invis spamming laugh. This obviously tilts me and i start yelling at him keep in mind i am useing language like shit and fuck you but nothing racist or sexually offensive, can i get banned for this by yelling a troll to stop and grow the fk up and that hes doing dumb shit and yes he did this the whole game then afk then int after he came back. can i get banned for this the whole team was doing this too ( yelling at him )

You are literally rewarding the troll by doing that. Trolls get a kick out of tilting people and getting a reaction. So not only do you put your account in danger, you are giving the troll exactly what it wants.

"don't feed the troll" is not a cute meme, it's actual Internet wisdom.

Unfortunately yes, that can build to a ban, just mute them ignore them and don't talk to them. It is literally what they want you to, trolls have a weird craving for attention. I know this isn't a satisfying thing to do, but they only have fun if you respond to them.

My tip:

just don't talk in chat for the next week or 2, it helps the possible report fall off
get mad, but don't show it. we all get mad from time to time, just don't show it as that is literally giving them the "fun" of trolling
report him: let's help him of that account.

If you do it consistently, yes. The system has a little bit of leeway when it comes to people having off games. If you are normally not toxic, then you'll be fine.
