I started playing League of Legends in season 3, around the time Aatrox was released. Now, post season 5, I've noticed a dramatic increase in toxic players. (By toxic I mean overwhelmingly negative and verbally abusive.)
Any other league veterans agree?
First. Thought this was a thread about Fizz. Second I find people are much more likely to be decent human beings than season 1-4
I think that all toxic players got tired of LoL after playing it for 4 years and moved to Heroes of the Storm (Blizzard), because I used to play that game and after the Beta ended, it got full of toxic players. Then I came to LoL, which I hadn't played before because of its well-known toxic community, and I found a surprise, there were not so many toxic players as I had thought.
My conclusion: They moved to Blizzard, and I'm glad they did, because that game is pathetic (In terms of gameplay).
I feel there are less. Or at least, no increase.
Until they actually address the causes of toxicity, you will find that it doesn't improve.
I feel it's been higher over the holidays but lower since season two. This is from the perspective of someone who always plays in premades though. The players who join with us after que rarely are rude. Usually it's other team taints but they seem much more rare.
