New way to be afk without getting punished ASAP.

A bit ago i played with an Udyr jungle player.After a couple of bad plays this guy decided to give up on the game and went afk in base.

For the last 10-15 minutes of the game,he would stay in base while talking positively in chat.

Things like -

"I def Nexus" when all 3rd towers were still up......
we got late game and the list goes on

He is still playing without punishment for denying any chance to win and making us to suffer for 30 minutes.Is this how the system works?That should not be the case.I've been watching the match's history of many players doing that.For some reason they get pardoned until they earn tons of reports to finally get punished.If this is how the system should work then i got no words to express my disappointment.

you have to understand this: being afk (yes afk technically is supporting the enemy team, but so would be bad playing) is not banable. it gives you a leavebuster eventually which results in you having to wait 5 10 or 20min before getting into Q for 5 games.

thats it. him chatting or actually leaving doesnt make a difference.

No and just report him for being AFK anyway.

If im not mistaken, AFK arent bannable offenses unless its like every single game. The worst he would be getting is LPQ which only means he will have to wait in order for him to get into the queue. But still reporting him helps because people like him are trying to fake out the system and that is not right!

Yes, but he was AFK, that's completely different. Assisting the enemy team is like giving the locations of your teammates to the enemy. I mean they could cross paths, but that would be the system to decide. It would first consider it as AFK, so it would be handled by the AFK system first!

In the 3 years I've been here in the Player Behavior boards, I've seen 1 person get 14-day banned for Fountain AFKing, and that is through a manual investigation.

It can be punished through bans, but we don't see too much visibility of it. Most the time, we see people complaining about the leaver-buster system when they do such things.
