Riot seems to be having a possible faulty 3rd party banwave hitting

So, the other day I posted about having my account permabanned from using 3rd party software. I've never used anything other than Curse and LolWiz/Replay HUD and my attempts at support have been in vain so far.

I've been looking at the boards and it seems I'm not the only one. Here are a list of boards that have since come out to say that the same thing has happened to other people.

That's just in the last 24 hours on the board. Who knows how many people have gotten banned and there isn't anything posted about it.

Now I know people will say that there is obviously something missing in the story, but mine is this. I've used Overwolf and Curse, that is it. I've been grinding in S2-3 for the better part of a month. Never reached higher than G5 last season. If I did use 3rd party software, I wouldn't be so upset, but this really does seem odd that it isn't just an isolated incident.

Every single time there is a banwave people come posting about how theirs was an error, this isn't anything new. More often than not it isn't that they made an error, but that the people contesting it are unaware of a compromise or that their app/mod is illegal or they are lying.

All they need to do is submit a ticket and Riot will take another look at their case.

I completely agree with you about the faulty bans. I Only use Curse and got banned. Should be interesting to see what happens.

It's a new patch, a ban wave just hit, every 2 weeks the posts spike like this. There is nothing 'strange' about the last couple of days. I encourage anyone who has such a ban notice to reach out to player support through a ticket to discuss their ban.
