Another AFK's suck thread

My name is Zolemn and I'm not very good. Silver 4 and climbing, dropping, climbing, you get the idea. I play a lot of support because I just fill and apparently no one likes playing support. This is my 2nd season and I enjoy most of what the game has to offer. I don't mind losing by being outplayed, outfarmed, outsmarted, etc.. Hell I really don't even mind feeders. They actually can have value believe it or not. Enemy team relaxes, they go out of their way to get an assist on the feeder while Nasus or Jinx safely farm...til all of a sudden they are fed without killing anyone and stomp. This actually happened. I don't even mind the toxicity. Mute and I have become great friends. What I can not stand are AFK's. We talk about CSing properly, we talk about mechanics, outplaying, objectives, gold leads, every little advantage u can gain is something u want because it improves ur odds drastically. Now take away a whole player and well your odds just went down big time. AFK's suck.

The most common argument I see on boards is that it happens to everyone and it evens out in the end. For as many games you play with an AFK you have also benefited from enemy teams going afk. This is just not true. In two seasons I can honestly count on one hand how many times an enemy team had an afk. I don't have a real number for how many times I have had afkers on my team in two seasons, but I will say that in the last week alone I've had more afk's on my team than I have seen on the enemy team in two seasons combined. This is not balance. This is chance and I just happen to be unlucky.

How do I handle it? I try to just play out the match, do the best I can and continue to attempt to win even tho my teams usually know the odds are stacked against them and want to FF at 20 (even sooner). I have yet to win one but maybe one day I will be able to win a 4v5. Remember what I said about feeders whether intentional or not being useful? Even bodies provide value. AA's provide value, split pushing, etc... a 4v5 match as a support isn't much fun tho. Despite what the higher elo players think of the bronze and silvers I haven't really seen anything that stupid. Most players know the basics and understand what needs to take place to win a match. The point is games are being won by attrition, if nothing else and its not fun for those on the constant receiving end.

For such a huge game, I just can't accept that this is the best riot can do about this situation. Pls do something. The /remake option is a good start. I've been able to use it once, but every one of my afks, with the exception of the one, happened after the 3m mark. Not much help there.

2 more AFK's on my team since writing this... just another kind. Thought Id mention this. That's not counting the number of times people have 'connected', making u unable to remake but they aren't actually playing...'ping, issues, dc's, lag, etc... Had one game where they didn't actually join the game for real til the enemy was lvl 10, while they were still lvl 1. Obviously spending the rest of the game trying to catch up, while noble, doesnt help the arms race that had been going on. Just another way teams win by attrition through afk's.
