Leaver buster for 20 min...even though I haven't dced from a game in over 3 months

Now, I understand leaving a game is a crime that carries alot of retribution, especially in ranked, but 20 min leaver buster when I haven't dced since like early may, I think that might be a little bit extreme. Now don't get me wrong, dcing from a game is a serious crime but come on, life happened to me and I had to bail from this ranked game, yet I get leaver buster for 20 min because of one game. Don't you think that's a little extreme riot? I love you guys, really, but come on.

Isnt there a certain amount of games you have to play in order to make your wait time for leaver buster go down? I think riot should also just take time since the last leaver buster penalty into account. some people just arent active enough and its a really hard blow when you get busted for so long. But also you must have lefted so many games to get up to 20 mins.. for shame

Yeah at one point my parents didn't get the idea of I can get severely punished for leaving so I got kicked off a lot, but after my last dc like three months ago they finally got it from my moaning of the 10 min penalty...so one DC to go see suicide squad with my dad... that's a little extreme if you ask me.

Same shit happens to me. My dad even started harrowing me about it because I didn't know that they started making dinner a d he said you'ld seriously take a videogame over dinner and then proceeded to to tease me about eating my dinner and I got pissed off and that pissed of my dad and that night, he was just being a dick. He's an ass when he's pissed off but that was before I pissed him off. He said I was allowed to ever play videogames again but he never sticks to hi gun on that luckily. I just see it as him threatening me. Also my mom hates me playing videogames. I can never play on the Xbox unless she's not home because she just keeps watching TV. Mostly soaps and realestate shows. She co.plains that she can never use the computer because I'm always on it. Well that makes 2 of us. She even thinks videogames are for kids and when I told her that the average age for gamers is 31 years old, she responded with none of them grew up. She refuses to use the Xbox to watch movies. I even told her that there are more adults playing videogames than children. I bet if I had my own computer, they'd go out of their way to keep me from playing by sabotaging the internet, throwing away chords and even deleting programs behind my back. It's just bullshit.

Don't leave games, and don't join games if you don't think you have time to play them. That's not hard.

I mean life happens and accidents happen. DCs happen. But it sounds like this DC was preventable, just like the others. You left to see a movie, and other times you left because your parents kicked you off. I mean maybe I'm a jerk here because I don't know more details.

Did you know you were going to see a movie before you started the game? Was it possible to deny or delay the movie because you joined a game? I'm not saying the game is more important than a movie with your dad, but the penalty is fair. 20 minutes is not much time. You could spend more time with your dad during it or something? Sorry for the jerk comment.

And just to be clear, I'm not saying the game is more important than an emergency or something. If there's a fire then quit the game!!!

But if you have to use the bathroom or something then it makes sense to not join a game. If you have to eat dinner in 20-60 minutes then it makes sense to not join a game. Again I don't know all the details.

I knew I was going to go see it but I forgot my dad likes to leave really early to go see movies, so I thought I had 50 min when I had about 30, but yes his was probably avoidable on my part

Well I'm sorry man, honestly I think riot needs to reevaluate the leaver buster system, as three months without a dc and a 20 min leaver buster for one game is kind of excessive. Sure it was a ranked game but doesn't my three month perfect record mean anything? I wouldn't be upset if it was just a five min leaver buster as that would actually make scence but 20min? Thats plain wrong.
