Question about the reporting system

Lets say your report someone for leaving the game even his name is in red in the after game lobby. I heard you were suppose to get a feedback system telling you if your report had the player punished? lets say you didn't get one; do you lose "reporting power" as in my other reports afterwards mean less to the system? how does the system really manage that as in losing/gaining reporting power? or however it works. Or did i hear something wrong? just curious question to anyone that can answer thanks.

Do i lose/gain reporting power if the player was punished or not?

If the system determines you are falsely reporting you lose credibility (weight), and if it's accurate you gain it. Most people aren't punished even if they get reported a few times, but that doesn't mean the reports weren't accurate, so I believe the system adjusts the weight of your reports regardless of punishment. The system checks for history of feeding and feeding reports, toxic chat and verbal abuse reports etc.

Punishments are almost always the result of more than one game. So the fact that you didn't get the notification does not mean that your report was considered false, only that they haven't done enough to be punished yet. So for example that could have been the first game that person ever left so even though your report was valid and would be counted as so, that person would not be receiving a punishment. I am also not sure if the feedback messages that say someone you reported got punished happen with AFK reports.

I am not sure how it handles report weights in the time between when you report someone and when(if) they get punished though. I would think that reports would be considered neutral until they are validated or deemed false but I don't know for sure.
