A 14 day ban for this feels really bad

I have already submitted a ticket, but I hope I can get an explanation here that's a bit more elaborate. I've never ever been banned or even chat restricted before, since I started playing this game almost 4 years ago. A player went support Lee Sin in a ranked game of mine and really played badly causing me to get extremely frustrated with myself and my team. Even then, I decided against saying anything too toxic during the game. Post game, I made a mistake by typing 'literally kys' before immediately leaving the lobby. For that alone, I have a 14 day ban.

Yes, I made a mistake, and I accept it completely. But do I not even deserve even a chat restrict before I get a 14 day ban and lose all my honor? I know it was extremely extremely stupid of me it was to say this, but 14 days when I barely get to play the game because of work... It feels too depressing.
