I actually went AFK(hear me out)

So I started playing League a few days ago now,Im lvl 13 now and today while playing one of my games I just couldnt handle it any more and I went AFK.

Simple as that,the more I play the more hostility I encounter in this game, its horrible.

Usually Im a very calm and leveled person and it really takes a lot to get me (pardon the expression) pissed off.

But today actually during the game I felt actual rage while playing.

Several games of flaming from teammates(not all of them directed at me),the constant fights,the people who go "AFK",but stay to rage at team from base and complain.The people who know everything,but are doing horribly.The people who go its all your fault Im 0/12.The people who go feed just because someone took a certain champ and so on...

The enemy team wishing you death and cancer just because you have more CS or because you managed to kill them or w/e.Or acting like complete scumbags when they see an obvious troll(running under their towers to feed them),or you only killed me because you play X champion.

I posted about a similar problem a day ago,and honestly I listened to advice given to me and I started using "/mute all" ,but even if I mute them,intentional feeding,them coming to sabotage you just cant be muted or ignored.Its horrible and very frustrating.

Anyways so like I said during this game that I went AFK,we had a dude that wanted to support with Lux,but then someone else picked Karma,and we were left with no jungler,so Lux went top with me,and since I was Afk last few seconds during champ select(I went to get a drink),when we got into the game I said: "Lux buddy can you buy support item and please leave cs to me if you are gonna support me top" and he responded with "Im not supporting a retarded trash noob like you! Now I support enemy!" And he literally went down my lane feeding the enemy Lee Sin,all the while he was raging and arguing with the team(they were all flaming and arguing with each other).I muted him tried to focus,but I just couldnt.After awhile out of sheer frustration I just unmuted them all and said: "You know what?! Fuck you all,I had enough!" And I just pressed Esc and Left the game.

I am not proud of what I did,but I generally felt sick and mentally enraged and exhausted from playing this game. I actually yelled at someone and cursed someone.I who almost never use curse words.

Anyways before this post becomes too long.I really dont know how you people handle so much anger and frustration while playing this game.

Im not sure if I should envy you on consider you emotionally dead(Im sorry if this sounds wrong).

But yeah my own mental health is way more important to me than this game,and I wish the rest of you good luck(I would tell you to have fun,but I realize now this is almost impossible in this game) in your games.

I wont be playing this game any more and I suggest and urge anyone who felt similarly to me to also reconsider playing this game.

The lower levels are really awful tbh, much worse than most games you will play at max level. Low levels are filled with people who have been banned and are making new accounts, terrible players that think they can place higher with a new account, etc. It's still up to you if you want to quit the game, and if you aren't having fun then you should. I just wanted to explain that it gets better when you get max level. It's not always good at max level, a lot of games you will have similar people as you describe, but honestly it's not as bad as most games in the first 20 levels of playing.

A maybe more interactive suggestion is to mute the players that are or may be aboot to bother you

There is a little chat mute button beside the player slots when you hold Tab

it was useful for me lastnight too

A great reminder that a lot of 12 year olds are playing this game. Someone once mentioned a game shop in their town where little kids 9-13 are playing Lol on the shop computers, continually saying 'trash noobs' and such to the screen. Any behavior like this from anyone over 13 is simply ridiculous

I only went AFK once when I was supporting as Soraka, saved my team at least 30 times and they kept dieing anyways, many times right after I saved them with heal, they would run back into the enemy and die, then say 'garbage support'. The only thing I said was 'okay why are all 4 of you guys are intentionally diving into enemy right after i save you' so I would have some evidence for reports, because everyone on the team was doing it. I thought it was just bad play at first, but then I noticed they would do it every time and then flame me. Only game I ever AFK'ed

I'm having the opposite issue, I don't want to AFK but my ISP keeps dropping my connection so for the first time ever I'm getting leaver bustered....FOUR FUCKING TIMES! for those of you who hate math, that means I've lost 400 minutes of my time waiting on it to let me que up. I've endured through all sorts of silliness in this game and never once considered uninstalling my game in the four years I've played, but this, this punishing me for shit I can't control thing has me very strongly considering it. I've never AFKd before and it doesn't have the sense to think "hey, this guy doesn't do this, maybe there's something to this." So yea, I get why you want to quit. I now am about ot quit and I don't even want to. I'm just the maddest I've ever been at this game because I can't play anymore without waiting 20 minutes on it and the ones causing it are taking my money while the game I'm trying to play is punishing me for paying them to screw me over. For the first time ever in all my history of playing I'm going to have to say FUCK YOU RIOT
