It's time for a crackdown on supports

I was just in a game where my "support Lux"

--Took Press the Attack as her mastery --Took a doran's ring --grabbed my farm in order to deliberately shove the lane --attempted to deliberately bait me into bad fights to get me killed and have herself survive. --Refused to W --Refused to peel -Refused to ward (had to do it myself) --attempted to take kills

I've had three games in a row where this was the case. This toxic support had a level 5 mastery and was well above lvl 30, which meant he knew how the game is played. I needed a support, instead I got a glory-hog mage who screwed my lane, starved me out, and messed our game up royally, because they don't want to play support.

THE PROBLEMS IN THE BOT LANE COME FROM THE SUPPORT, NOT THE ADC. They're the ones who instigate bad behavior, not us. It's long past time RITO recognize that and start taking steps. Here are my suggestions:

--We need a specific report for supports that don't play their roles. When it's checked, everything is analyzed: The items, the playstyle, the runes, everything. So...

--If the support takes farm while the carry is in lane, if the support steals kills from the ADC, or if the support is just plain trolling, on the first offense, instead of a chat ban, 1) they will always be auto-filled support 2) All champions for them will be disabled except ENCHANTER supports. Not even tank supports will be available, and certainly not carry supports. And FSM help them if Enchanter Supports aren't in the meta. If they don't own enchanter supports or there aren't any on free rotation that week, then they either have to buy one or they don't get to play. It's that simple. 3) Every time they cue up, a "caution" card appears, informing his/her teammates that this person is currently being punished for trolling as a support, to let the carry know to be on his/her guard and to let the team know who to blame in the event everything goes south in the bot lane.

We've tried to appease the supports with characters like Pyke to ease tensions in the bot lane, and it isn't working. The carrot failed; now it's time for the stick.

Oh, and on a more personal note, if there's any support reading this, I can't wait to get autofilled as a support, so I can show you self-righteous jerks how it ought to be done!

It's time for a crackdown on ADC's. You're an ADC, not a crit-speed carry - you need to build AD. And why the hell are you stealing all the gold for yourself, if you want extra gold you can buy the Cull item for it, not take it from your teammates because "well it's mine".

Point is, you're not the boss. There is no rules that support is your bitch. This attitude you have where the support is to be your slave is not only one that Riot explicitly will not enforce or support, but is one that is causing you to lose games because you won't work with your team.

I was just in a game where my "support Lux"

--Took Press the Attack as her mastery

Could have picked champ and then got pulled away.

--Took a doran's ring

While I personally believe a support item is best, not required.

--grabbed my farm in order to deliberately shove the lane

Farm belongs to no assigned person.

--attempted to deliberately bait me into bad fights to get me killed and have herself survive.

Can you prove that was the intent and you didn't just misread their plan?

--Refused to W

They can level the ability when they want. Possible they never even had a point in W.

--Refused to peel

Funny how you don't mention if abilities were on cd or if they missed.

-Refused to ward (had to do it myself)

Good, everyone should ward. I love when I get an adc that actually buys a control ward to help.

--attempted to take kills

Kills don't belong to anyone.

I've had three games in a row where this was the case. This toxic support had a level 5 mastery and was well above lvl 30, which meant he knew how the game is played. I needed a support, instead I got a glory-hog mage who screwed my lane, starved me out, and messed our game up royally, because they don't want to play support.

It happens, sounds like the Lux may have been autofilled. Doesn't excuse their actions if their intent was to troll.

THE PROBLEMS IN THE BOT LANE COME FROM THE SUPPORT, NOT THE ADC. They're the ones who instigate bad behavior, not us. It's long past time RITO recognize that and start taking steps. Here are my suggestions:

Please, get off your pedestal. It can come from bot or support. Don't blame 1 person.

--We need a specific report for supports that don't play their roles. When it's checked, everything is analyzed: The items, the playstyle, the runes, everything. So...

So... A report box for trolling. Exists already.

--If the support takes farm while the carry is in lane, if the support steals kills from the ADC, or if the support is just plain trolling, on the first offense, instead of a chat ban,

Trolling starts at a 14 day ban not chat restrict

  1. they will always be auto-filled support

So you want to make the problem worse?

  1. All champions for them will be disabled except ENCHANTER supports. Not even tank supports will be available, and certainly not carry supports.

Flat out stupid.

And FSM help them if Enchanter Supports aren't in the meta. If they don't own enchanter supports or there aren't any on free rotation that week, then they either have to buy one or they don't get to play.

Again stupid.

It's that simple. 3) Every time they cue up, a "caution" card appears, informing his/her teammates that this person is currently being punished for trolling as a support, to let the carry know to be on his/her guard and to let the team know who to blame in the event everything goes south in the bot lane.

Way to try to create problems in the match before it even begins.

We've tried to appease the supports with characters like Pyke to ease tensions in the bot lane, and it isn't working. The carrot failed; now it's time for the stick.

Your problem seems to be with autofilled supports, not supports.

Oh, and on a more personal note, if there's any support reading this, I can't wait to get autofilled as a support, so I can show you self-righteous jerks how it ought to be done!

Congrats, you are contributing to the thing you hate. You realize that right?

Why are you raging and making generalizations because you ran into one person who was being an asshole?

Do you know what this reinforces? The belief that all of us support mains share that ADCs are egotistical players who only care about what they see through their tunnel vision in-game. The ADC isn't the hero of the damn game, and the support isn't your bitch. Learn how to play as part of a team instead of the protagonist of your own anime.

At first, I thought he was being sarcastic.

I've had three games in a row where this was the case.

I'm looking at your match history now. You had 1 game with a full AP lux. Possibly griefing, as she went 0-9. Your other two matches you had a Rakan and Morgana who built typical items. Oh, and I should mention, in these last 3 games you won 2. So, TLDR, you might have encountered one griefer in a NORMAL (non-ranked) match. If I made a forum post for every teammate who tried to throw my games I'd be the most prolific poster on the boards.

Sounds like your support is new or at least don't understand their role. I checked their op.gg and it turns out they're iron 1, so that makes sense. You can't ban people for being bad at a role.

THE PROBLEMS IN THE BOT LANE COME FROM THE SUPPORT, NOT THE ADC. They're the ones who instigate bad behavior, not us.

And I've played with adcs who jump in and die on their own, blame me for every death, refuse to acknowledge cooldowns are a thing, AFK because my comet killed an enemy.... Therefore, everything bot is actually the ADCs fault because I have anecdotal evidence. Do you see how silly that sounds?
