It's time for a crackdown on supports
I was just in a game where my "support Lux"
--Took Press the Attack as her mastery --Took a doran's ring --grabbed my farm in order to deliberately shove the lane --attempted to deliberately bait me into bad fights to get me killed and have herself survive. --Refused to W --Refused to peel -Refused to ward (had to do it myself) --attempted to take kills
I've had three games in a row where this was the case. This toxic support had a level 5 mastery and was well above lvl 30, which meant he knew how the game is played. I needed a support, instead I got a glory-hog mage who screwed my lane, starved me out, and messed our game up royally, because they don't want to play support.
THE PROBLEMS IN THE BOT LANE COME FROM THE SUPPORT, NOT THE ADC. They're the ones who instigate bad behavior, not us. It's long past time RITO recognize that and start taking steps. Here are my suggestions:
--We need a specific report for supports that don't play their roles. When it's checked, everything is analyzed: The items, the playstyle, the runes, everything. So...
--If the support takes farm while the carry is in lane, if the support steals kills from the ADC, or if the support is just plain trolling, on the first offense, instead of a chat ban, 1) they will always be auto-filled support 2) All champions for them will be disabled except ENCHANTER supports. Not even tank supports will be available, and certainly not carry supports. And FSM help them if Enchanter Supports aren't in the meta. If they don't own enchanter supports or there aren't any on free rotation that week, then they either have to buy one or they don't get to play. It's that simple. 3) Every time they cue up, a "caution" card appears, informing his/her teammates that this person is currently being punished for trolling as a support, to let the carry know to be on his/her guard and to let the team know who to blame in the event everything goes south in the bot lane.
We've tried to appease the supports with characters like Pyke to ease tensions in the bot lane, and it isn't working. The carrot failed; now it's time for the stick.
Oh, and on a more personal note, if there's any support reading this, I can't wait to get autofilled as a support, so I can show you self-righteous jerks how it ought to be done!
