Chat restriction for no reason

Hello, I am here to discuss toxicity in the game and how you guys handle it. I was just in a game with what im guessing was a four man team. They all had teleport in picks and bans and I didnt want to take teleport and thats where it all began. After saying that I was going to take ignight they instantly started flaming and cussing. Once in the game, They continue to harass me and floor the message board with crude remarks. I end up muting them because im tired of hearing it and un-muting later on to get a better glimpse of how toxic they are. I told the other team about the problem and they agreed to report the other team all is well. I even tried to pretend to be a Riot employee to get these guys to stop which only made they say more stuff. Not once did I say something rude or insulting to any of my teammates, yet for some reason I receive a 25 game chat restriction. Given, one of them was banned because I received a message saying so but the fact that I got a chat restriction because all four of my teammates reported me despite not saying anything bad is absurd. This is the exact, copy and pasted chat log from the game that it showed for my restriction. Please tell me why I have been given a chat restriction and point out which thing I said did it because im really confused on how this whole thing works.

This was a huge mistake on your part. You impersonated a Riot employee and threatened to ban the other players. Whether they should be banned or not is irrelevant, doing this is against the Summoner's Code and is definitely a punishable offense.

Also, something to mention is that you should not call for reports against other players. It is considered harassment, and although it is minor (imo), it's something that Riot does not want in their game, so it is a legitimate reportable offense.

All it takes to flag a game for review is 1 report, any extra reports won't make the game "more important" to the system at all, so calling for extra reports is essentially meaningless. 1 report in a single game is treated the same as 9 reports in a single game, so if you want to reports someone, just do so yourself and do so silently.

I wouldn't say you said nothing bad but it is pretty mild. I don't know how or if the system handles impersonating a rioter. I suspect it doesn't since I would think that would get you at least a 14 day ban if not a permanent ban.

Calling for reports is considered negative by the system for sure. Which there are several instances including threatening to ban them while impersonating a rioter. Its also important to know that punishments are usually not for 1 game, what they send you is merely an example of your negative behavior.
