What happens after a 14 day suspension?

MVdominater58·1/23/2016, 3:53:18 AM·6 votes·44,911 views

I recently got a 14 day suspension, and It will end Tuesday. But I want to know how much I need to seriously shape up so I dont get permabanned. Ive spent a good amount of money (300+) on this game and Im scared to lose it.

How many reports will it take?

If I totally not talk in chat can I be reported?

Am I still able to get chat restrictions for reports?

Does this ever reset? Will Lyte ever reset our chat history stuff again?

Anything helps ;)

Thanks!

i got reported about 4-5 months ago and got banned for 2 weeks.

all it will take to get you permabanned is one slip up. don't intentionally feed, don't afk, don't talk shit in chat. honestly don't say anything in chat unless it's important information to your team, or maybe a "gj" every once in a while to help morale

do NOT worry about being reported if you haven't done anything wrong. i was reported probably 20+ times in the 3 months after my ban (it takes 3 months to drop a punishment tier, read nami's comments) and i was never once punished because i improved my behavior. even if you get a warning message saying "your recent behavior is not in like with etc etc" don't worry about it, don't stress over it unless you've done something wrong.

you should be scared to lose it. one more game of raging at your teammates and everything gets deleted for good, you lose all your skins, rp, rank, friends list, everything

BUT since you got a 2 week warning ban instead of a permaban, it can't be that bad.. reform is easy as long as you remember what's at stake. i was terrified of losing my account. that's what motivated me to become a better player.

good luck. don't type anything unless it's important.

As someone who had a 14 day ban that ended at the first of the year, as long as you don't spam chat, say things like the N word etc, and show an effort that you're having fun, you should be good. I have gotten reported since then, but in those games I didn't say a word other than lane calling so I'm sure those have been thrown out.

If you get too upset, just don't say anything and play another game. it's working for me and by march I should be downgraded in terms of punishment level. Although, I have my own opinions about riots punishment system and it's inconsistency.

As someone who was permabanned on 1 acc and is 2 week banned on another (my ban also expires Tuesday), you just have to be ready to lose your account. It's going to happen. No one gives a fuck about toxic players. You have to avoid being reported AT ALL for THREE MONTHS before your punishment drops a tier (back down to another 2 week ban). You know as well as I do that people are willing to report for anything and everything, and Riot support brushes off punished players as kids just whining to get their accounts back, so submitting a ticket about any false reports you may receive will be fruitless. You might as well start saying your goodbyes now, that account isn't going to be around for much longer.

Or who knows, maybe you'll become Jesus in the next few days.

I don't agree with Jamaree. I've seen plenty of people whining about how they got perma-banned coming directly off a 14-week suspension after they were claiming to already be improving.

The thing is, you don't get any grace for improving. You only get grace for being good. Better than before is not good enough to avoid the perma. You have to be good. The 14-week is a wake-up call to tell you you've been super toxic, and if you continue to be toxic, the ban is inevitable.

I kind of read into this that you haven't really made a true decision to reform. You're asking the wrong questions. The question isn't "how bad can I be without getting banned?" The question SHOULD be, "what does being a positive player look like? How can I be someone that helps other people enjoy this game?" Unless you start thinking like that, you'll probably get banned. I don't say that to be rude or negative, I say it because it's what I've observed. People who try to tow the line usually fail.

Im really sorry buddy but you are screwed. I got a 14 day banned so I decided to step it up. i pretty much carried every game and never said anythign except for stuff like baron, dragon, and gank. I slipped up one game and barely fed but I didnt say anything cuz i knew they would report me for talking toxic. They still reported me for toxic and I got banned.

I recently got a 2 week ban. It said I was toxic, and it counted the words I said. I don't know but I don't think that I deserved the ban. What's really wierd is that I flamed a little, but my friends who flamed like crap, feed and afk didn't got any ban. Which gets me to believe that riot's ban system isn't going correctly.

I got a 2 week ban as well, at first, I just got pissed off and punched my door until I couldn't feel my hand, and then felt REALLY stupid because the one thing that could've avoided it was to just ignore the toxic players, but being me, I flamed back and we got into this argument, and then for a while I was wishing that the other person got reported too, and then realized that was stupid and pathetic and realized I just need to turn off all chat, so there won't be a temptation, tbh there shouldn't even be a temptation in the first place but I'm just that kind of guy :/

I got banned for joking(Not perma) I was flaming my friend and he flamed me it was all in good fun and im not shitting you right now i wrote Kys but no in like Kill yourself but in kiss yourself if i got to my chat logs i would show you explaining it to another person

I got banned for 2 weeks because i said to someone stop feeding lol... Can someone help me because my 2 weeks ban doesn't let me play. Is it a chat ban or a 2 weeks unplayable account?

turn off all chat option to keep yourself in the heat of the moment of saying anything. Riot will see you have all chat off so reports from an opposing team will do nothing. After a set but unknown time you will receive a notice that your behavior has improved and your standing with riot as well. I don't know what you did but dc'ing also can get you in a lot of trouble now to. basically you need to stay clean man for a long ass time. once you've made riots toxic shit list it gets easier to get back on it so just shape up permanently. a perm ban wont come often from cursing unless you've had a suspension. Hate speech can get you perma banned instantly. Just fix yourself man you'll enjoy the game more and so will your teammates and opponents.

Hey, i think riot is doing a really bad job at this, they ban you meanwhile the other player started all of the flame at the start which happened to me. The whole team was raging on me because i wen't Brand mid(its actually his like main lane) then they started to use swearing and i sweared a little too because it was getting way to far, and i forgot to report those children for flame but they didin't so i got a ban the best thing was that they cuted out their flames and rages and only left mines lol

It will take just 1 report for anything, from being toxic, afking, trolling, inting to just playing poorly or trying to argue about random stuff. You have to not get reported for at least 3 months to drop a tier. My best advice is, if your account is so precious to you, play on your smurf for 6 months or if you dont have one make it. I would say that 95% of players who had 14 day ban get permabanned if they keep playing on that acc because RIOT really doesnt care, once you get to that punishment tear they are literally waiting for just 1 report to permaban you without a second thought.

Guys today my account was suspension for 14 days, my question is when my account will be clean i mean how many time i need to wait to be cleaned?

NiFL11/28/2017, 12:55:55 PM2 votes

What's with this ban reset thing? I recently got 2 week ban and I'm wondering, after 3 months of not being toxic at all or not disobeying the summoner code, what does it mean that my account will be clean? Does it mean that if I somehow ACCIDENTALLY become salty again will I get a 14 day ban again or perma ban?

TJHoody2/9/2018, 4:10:16 AM2 votes

I am on a 14 day suspension i understand what i have done ,but one game on champ select i was selected mid and then a lee support said he was going mid and saying that they were in a party of 4 and that i would get 4 reports for no reason. , and 1 more thing what are things that aren't meant to say in chat causing me to get a ban? Talon

Trashlord Kayden1/23/2016, 4:02:07 AM2 votes

after a 14 day suspension if enough ppl report you, you will be perma banned. it takes 3 months for your punishment to drop down one tier. also i recommend at the beginning of the game to /mute all. if you don't talk or flame anyone their reports will do nothing and their future reports will be less valued.

PGGOW9/16/2017, 10:16:25 AM2 votes

so know after a 2 week suspension if i always mute chat will my account level improve?

Hey folks!

Since this thread is just about two years old, I'll be closing this thread out to prevent further necroing. I recommend starting a new thread for player behavior topics directed towards the community; otherwise, the Riot Games Player Support - Player Behavior team is an invaluable resource you can reach by submitting a ticket at https://support.riotgames.com.

Thanks!

It takes: 1 report from a decent non-toxic player Yes, for trolling and the like, but remember false reports won't count Not unless you drop down two steps Every 30 days I believe you drop down a punishment. and no.

What i should to do? when my acc is under 14 day suspension?

CodyBear 7/14/2017, 5:30:42 PM1 votes

It takes 6-12 months with no reports in order for your account to be clean.

Otherwise getting reported a few more times you will get the Perma. Once you get the 14 day, your account will always be on thin ice.

Here are some answers to your questions 1) How many reports will it take? A: One, if you do some seriously negative stuff like use homophobic or racial slur.

2) If I totally not talk in chat can I be reported? A: Yes you can. Anyone "can" be reported for anything. However, supposedly there is a system that checks if the reported person is actually doing wrong things. You can do wrong things without ever saying a word of course; like intentionally feeding or using your abilities to make allies' life more difficult (Tahm spitting allied ADC to enemy team for example) and you can get reported for that and punished for that. The probability of getting punished for that is open for discussion. I consider it (unfortunately) very low chance.

3) Am I still able to get chat restrictions for reports? A: Not for a while. Next punishment is most likely permanent ban. See next question.

4) Does this ever reset? Will Lyte ever reset our chat history stuff again? A: It will apparently gradually (very gradually) go down in punishment step ladders. I would guess it takes about a year to get down one step. However, that is just a guess of an another player, who is in no way affiliated with Riot Games.

Edit: Oh, someone else necroed this 2 year old post. Oh well. Hopefully it provides someone some information.
