The chat restrictions were placed on the account due to excessive cases of verbal toxicity. They are meant as a warning while encouraging more tact in in-game chat.

The toxicity displayed was not extreme, which is why only Chat Restrictions were given as a warning. I have extracted some of the more relevant fragments below, to get a clearer idea of what we consider negative behavior:

[19:43] Carcalagus (Kayn): if ur jus gonna troll jus ff [19:55] Carcalagus (Kayn): no point wasting time It's important to keep in mind that we do not tolerate negative behavior of any kind, including retaliating to toxic behavior in the same manner. If someone else is being toxic, feel free to mute them and report them later.

Additionally, being negative entails more than just flaming, it's about your overall attitude towards players, criticizing, complaining, making fun of, spamming the chat, etc.

CARCALAGUS December 13th 2017, 8:01:38 pm Are you able to retreive what they were saying to me in this game i think it will help you understand the situation of the game a little better. All my "toxic" behaviour was me responding to being called a "noob jungler" etc and getting spam pinged frequently due to the fact that my laners lost lane to their laners and decided to take it out on me.

I don't see how this is toxic. Please go check the game and see what my mao kai was doing towards the end. He was sitting around the map purposefully not doing anything just spamming his mastery and emotes and laughing. I dont see what is wrong with this at all...

I don't see what is wrong for asking the other team to report a troll/ flamer who actually said toxic things as even on Riot Phreaks stream he has said mid-game to report people.

You also say that i was "spamming the chat" yet there on the majority large breaks between my messages.

I dont see what is wrong with this if im being the one blamed for by majority of my team and im just telling them to take some responsibility and look what they did wrong ( as this is the only way you can improve) instead of being toxic and spam pinging your jungler and flaming him.

This is the reason my account was chat restricted yet "The toxicity displayed was not extreme" this is what you tell me so I am being banned for something as you have clearly said I have not done. It also says "cases" which implies multiple occurrences of this but I was only provided with 1 game of this and if you check my account i play a lot of games in streaks when I am off work and had played over 20 games that week but only 1 game occured of non-extreme toxic verbal abuse. Sorry if this came off a little rude but I really don't understand what I did wrong .

Even though I can't give you the full chat logs, we do have them available. Unfortunately, what other do or say can not and will not justify your behaviour. You are the only one responsible for your actions as other are for theirs.

If you think that others are offensive towards you, feel free to mute them and report them at the end of the match. Fighting fire with fire will not only make the matters worse on the field, but will also, as you can see, make you susceptible to toxicity related punishments.

I am sorry, but the restriction was rightfully placed and will not be removed.

I am sorry if you feel like your concerns weren't addressed, but as far as I saw, my colleagues gave you clear examples where your attitude was negative and you responded to toxic behavior in the same manner, which is not considered an excuse. Basically, you are the only one responsible for your behavior in a game and fueling a flame war will trigger such a restriction.

Moreover, while I investigated your account, I observed some suspicious activity related to it, this is why I placed a temporary suspension until we identify you as the account original creator. With this being said, since we can not continue with this procedure in this ticket due to security reasons, please provide me with an email address which is not attached to any League account. We will create a new ticket to that email address where we will continue the verification procedure.

We aren't doing this out to spite, but to maintain the security of all League accounts. We detected suspicious activity on your account and issued a protective suspension.

Unfortunately, we are only able to assist the original creator of an account. The original creator is the player who originally registered the account at signup. You are not the original creator of the account. As with most online games, websites, or services, the sharing, trading, selling, or transfer in any manner of a League of Legends account is expressly and explicitly prohibited by the Terms of Use. Considering you violated the terms of use, and it appears your cousin willingly did so, it is unlikely they return the account to either of you.

It is quite simple - if you are willing to share your personal account details with someone else, even a family member, Riot has no way of confirming that account is secure. They will assist players who have been hacked, but if players are willingly transferring or sharing accounts the account will be locked - and usually not unlocked. A username and password are personal - they identify you to Riot and to the game. Sharing accounts is prohibited in most instances on the internet.

If you wished to play League, the proper thing to do is to make your own account - not to cheat and have more unlocks by taking someone else's. If you wish to continue playing League now, your proper course of action is to make a new account that is yours, and not share or transfer accounts again.

So, if I'm following this correctly... you got chat restricted, argued about it, then revealed that you aren't the original owner of the account? Not smooth.

It is BLATANTLY against the rules to play on somebody else's account. Admitting as much to a Riot employee is account suicide.

First off; those logs are toxic and contribute nothing to the game. The support team even highlighted to you the problem and you reused to accept it. So, they decided to do a full manual review of your account and looks like they found instances of account sharing, which violates terms of use.

Others behavior does not excuse your own and you poked the bear instead of acknowledging your mess ups.

I would say account sharing/buying/selling is against the ToS in almost every game you will ever played. Most companies do not care to enforce it, but I honestly believe there is always something in every game ToS regarding it. Rito happens to strictly enforce this rule so tough luck.

I personally dont see how this is toxic. I think there is nothing wrong with defending ones self in chat and I think Riot screwed up here with how they handled this. Overall a fuck up on Riots part and im upvoting this to bring awareness to this issue. IF this is toxic can literally everyone in every one of my games please be chat restricted?

should've just kept the chat ban man... you asked them to look further and they noticed the account shift. sharing accounts is not allowed even if your cousin stopped playing and then admitting it...you are screwed unless your cousin helps you and even then you'd have to be lucky. most likely you are never getting it back now because of the account sharing rule. best of luck. reach out to your cousin. make a new account just in case.
