so a game ago i decided to go into a game and then just play a game of league of legends. then i thought "hmm lets test out just how sensitive riots auto moderation system is" so i went into a game told EVERYONE that i was gonna drop a few "trigger" words. kys suicide %%%%%%. all that fun stuff that i know can and will trigger a review. game went on, it was a pretty even game before my team decided that feeding the katarina was more important then simply winning the game off objectives. im nasus afterall 400 stacks at 20 minutes, ill fight there entire team. buuuut nooooo. have to group.

anyways the end result is this chat log

bear in mind thats my smurf. im a trolling dog on that account so give me a break with some of the whacky builds

this post isnt about getting unbanned, i went into this KNOWING i would and while i did put in a riot support ticket it isnt to get me unbanned its to see if it could help improve riots system.

while i can understand that looking for certain keywords is a effective way of rooting out toxicity, i feel that context is extremely important and that riot could certainly serve to learn abit from cases like this.

thoughts would be nice. im interested in opinions

And then people say "Hey Hec, just testing the system out, kill yourself" and get away with it.

Rito would not. No context can justify using those are "jokes".

Easier to unban a few false positives than manually review every case.

If there were a ton of false positives, Riot would reconsider things. As it happens though, there are very few contexts in which Riot will forgive you. So Riot will stay course and maybe put in a couple safety measures for rare context issues.

I'm not sure of the point either. OP I see your saying it was some kind of test for you.

But just by saying this is a joke won't exclude anyone from punishment. To easy to a abuse.

I don't feel like those words belong in this game, even in the context you provided.

Like, if you weren't attempting to test the system what purpose would a sentence like that serve? It doesn't help your team, it doesn't improve anyones mood or game experience, and it doesn't convey any meaningful information. All it does is potentially offends somebody and, if faced with it consistantly, potentially annoys people who would otherwise be in a neutral or positive mood.

So in what context would it be ok to tell another person to kill themselves? Or to call them the N-word, or basically any other slur? How does it help you win the game?

I don't know why you'd do this test with words you know would get you banned. The racial slur and I believe KYS will obviously trigger the auto-mod and for good reason.
