I have gotten very angry at this honor system lately, ever since the new patch releasing it I have been upset. Reason is is that I have stayed at honor 2 for a very long time while everyone else has been leveling up, I'm not toxic and I hardly never talk in chat. Just yesterday I was downgraded to honor 1, and this is where I flipped. I was very confused on why I was given this bad rating, It says due to recent penalties I am restricted from getting rewards. I have no idea how I was given such a bad rating, I haven't gotten any penalties except leaverbusters but I haven't gotten one in 5 months. Please tell me why this is happening I am very confused and upset.

RIOT won't tell us but I would be willing to bet money that the little petty children made it so if you even get reported in a game or you have previously been punished before this new system, your honor climb slows. I am still level 2 myself and since the inception of the new honor system this account has not been punished at all for anything, NOTHING. I have well over 150 games or so played. Maybe over 200, yet I am still 2. It's very biased I am sure and for the reasons that I said would make sense even if RIOT don't.

Not based on reports.

But I think there’s a consensus that getting valid reports even if not punished can slow your honor.

Lack of integrity is society's way today. Why should RIOT be any different? What you are saying wouldn't surprise me the least with the poor and uneducated leadership in the world today.

I mean, if you get punished, you shouldn't earn honor. If you did something punishable, you shouldn't be earning honor or rewards tied to honor.

Let's just stick to what the OP was inquiring about and not jump to external factors that do not effect honor or rewards.

Yet I did nothing punishable, I have gotten leaverbusters way before this new system came out but does that really have an effect on things?

Um, that's what we are doing. Please don't continue to add anything if you haven't read the post, because that is exactly what this looks like.

If you were issued a chat restriction for toxic communications or a leaverbuster penalty, your honor level drops.

Leaverbusters before the new honor system does that effect anything with the new system?

No. The only way you were dropped to level 1 honor was if you got a chat restriction.

I knew that chat restrictions reduced your honor level to 1 (or zero if you were already at 1) but I hadn't heard that leavebuster had any effect on honor.

I thought I saw somewhere in the big few post that manual LeaverBuster penalties like bans would also lower it.

Do you honor someone every game and get post game honors some/most of the games?

Yes I honor every game and usually get at last 1 honor every game

Well, if you haven't actually received any penalties and the honor system is telling you that you have, you might want to file a bug report.

As a side note, it seems like the new honor system rewards good behavior. Would be a shame and counterproductive if honor could not be gained for folks who are trying to improve their behavior.
