It doesn't matter if you agree with it or not. You agreed to the terms and conditions every patch, as follows:

C. Login Credentials. In creating an Account, you will be required to select a unique username and password (collectively, “Login Credentials”), which you will use each time you access the Game. You may not share your Account with anyone other than as expressly set forth herein, and you are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Login Credentials and for any and all activities (including purchases and charges, as applicable) that are conducted through your Account. Please notify Riot Games immediately if you become aware of any breach of security, including any loss, theft or unauthorized disclosure of your Login Credentials.

making smurfs and account sharing are two separate things. They don't mind Smurfs as long as they don't ruin new players gameplay. And account sharing can lead to elo boosting and they don't want that.

No. You can't. You can't duo with someone more than 1 division(or tier?) higher than you. I.E. if you're Plat V, you can duo with Gold V and Diamond V.

Furthermore, there are more reasons to stop account sharing. You have a diamond account, your bronze friend plays on it. He plays a ranked and ruins a game for people. Or he decides to be toxic on it, and your account is banned and you'll be blaming Riot saying this is bs.

technically the issue involves sharing your credentials as well as if you two duo and your skill lvl is low, they have yo carry your weight. If they use your account, they don't have to make up for your possible lack of skill. Though once they would have boosted you, you'd fall back down to your own elo eventually.

in a sense smurf accounts do ruin the new player experience, idk why new players would have to get stuck in a match against, let's say, a gold or higher skilled player on a smurf playing in bronze? That's some bad feels man. Also duoing with someone smurfing IMO should count as elo boosting in ranked games.

If Rito says it's fine though then not much I can do about it. shrug

he was diamond and made a bronze smurf, that way we got matched up against people who suck, smh, so much flaws in the system. ill just keep getting boosted you scrubs

If you're really that desperate to gain status in a video game by cheating and breaking the rules, the scrub is most certainly you.
