Clarify the player was flaming our entire team, while being negative. He trash talked my ADC who was carrying the game to his best ability. Insane how those who flame dont get banned but i retaliate and get banned. On my part, I was tilted from the things the Nunu was saying. He was trash talking and flaming. :(

Theres nothing to warrant an escalation past chat restrictions, so I'm guessing you've had a 25 game CR already?

I'm also assuming since your title is questioning the 14 day ban specifically, and the logs obviously break the rules, you know that it's punishable? So if youve had a 25 game CR, the next step is 14 day ban. Be really careful from here, because any continued rule breaking WILL result in a permanent ban. Of course, if you follow the rules through enough games played, you will go back down through the punishment tiers.

The tiers are 10 game CR, 25 game CR, 14 day ban, permaban.

Unfortunate, guess im turning off all chat from now on. Whole Ban system for toxic behavior is a little excessive IMO because everyone should have some tough skin to get through some flame. He flames our entire team and ruins our game but I get banned. Thanks for input though ill make sure to suck it up and shut up in games now. GLHF

Yes but im sure bottom lines of companies operating under capitalism would be worse off for shutting out players for being bad. Without the company being profitable, there would be no game. How do you maximize profit? By pandering to the majority.

But... like... youre complaining about him flaming? Dont you have tough skin to not get emotional over it? Dont get me wrong, I'm not saying you shouldn't be affected by it, but that seems to be what youre saying. I mean, we use words for a reason. They have an effect on people. Thats completely natural. Its literally in our nature. To deny that is borderline sociopathy. So since it ruins games for people because its completely natural to get upset over words, Riot has made rules against that.

So many potential players dont play this game because of its toxic reputation. Are you saying they should just let people be toxic and people should just suck it up? What about you? You seemed to mind that he was flaming you and your entire team. So what do you want exactly?

You also keep referring to him as a boomer, why? Because you KNOW that your words affect people. I dont get this fake tough skin mentality as if people should just be robots with no emotion. Well, actually I do get it because I used to be that way too. Then i looked at the bigger picture and what I was buying into. Buying into an idea that goes against our nature as humans. Denying our nature to fit in with other people who on the outside seem tough. But then you realize theyre hypocrits. They get offended, they get emotional, because theyre humans. They cant help it. They will act like they dont, but look deeper into the context like I did with you. You were offended by his flame, so you flamed back. Youre not immune to it, because youre human, and thats okay.

I just got nuked myself for this (9 games). Listen, Riot isn't inherently bad or ill-intended with their system, but it's so damn hard to catch people who are trolling / not caring in a ranked game.

While I was abrasive, I don't think that if any sane person was to look at the context in which I said "ay can you have respect for my time", they would understand. To have a Kayle straight up intentionally throw is just ludicrous.

Need more context on this Kayle backing thing. Was she low health? Low mana?

As a Kayle main myself, I often find myself backing at the most inopportune times. 50% of the time it's because of having no mana. 20% of the time it's because I don't have my ultimate. Kayle is incredibly weak in the early and mid game without her ultimate. Unless you and your team are very ahead it is NEVER a good idea to take any fight without your ultimate, even for objectives. They would kill you and get the objective anyway. I've starting building Tear 1st just so that I don't have to back so many times because I ran out of mana. Another reason I back is to complete an item, mainly Nashors. The difference between item 3101 + item 3108 and item 3115 is fuckin huge. Having a completed Nashors can make all the difference in a fight and I will often prefer to skip the next fight to have it.
