Weed out the Toxic Ones

So, based on countless rage quitter, trolls, constant DC'ers, AFK'ers and all general manner of people that gives League of Legends the unpleasant reputation it always has, how can we filter the good from the bad? Here are a few ideas, and admittedly, some of you won't like them.

[galio-happy] Thought #1 I have a tough time believing that somebody who trolls and get's banned regularly and that makes an infinite number of accounts actually spends any money on the game. I'm sure some people do, but not many. Most children and basement dwellers probably don't have an the extra $5/$10/per skin to throw around. Could Riot simply offer a monthly subscription server or some such in exchange for a some riot points every month? If an account was tied to a singular payment method, when banned, it would be much more laborious to create again. And as an added bonus we wouldn't have to play with the kids who weren't supposed to being playing past their bed time (granted some will steal their parents credit cards), or people who are too broke to pay their power bill (should get a job and not being playing LoL anyway). [zombie-nunu-bummed] Thought #2 In Korea from what I've read individuals have a personal account number they use to get online with. So maybe provide a server or player class level where you need to provide some other kind of secondary information that uses perhaps your ISP provider, phone number or some such. Something other than just an email address. [cass-cry] Thought #3 The honor system does nothing. I've been level 5 since mid season and the rewards are non existent, flattering icons though they are, we still get constantly grouped with people who have honor levels that are non existent. Please, group us more stringently by our honor levels otherwise what is the point of it anyway? [sg-ahri-1] Thought #4 Please penalize ranked less when you lose a game from a team mates blatant DC or AFK and penalize them more. [zombie-brand-facepalm] Though#5 Make Auto-fill OPTIONAL in ranked. Obviously, if you want to Que faster, you enable it. If you don't want to Que as fast you don't enable it. Everybody wins. For some people who are stubborn let them stay that way and wait it out. Talented people who can multi-role play games faster. You could even offer more LP for auto-fill being activated or less LP if it's not.
[sg-lux-2] Thought #6 Please add a MUCH longer delay before accounts can play ranked games! The speed at which people can level an account to troll/sell is ridiculous. [sg-shisa] Thought #7 Try out a game play mode where you have to have a champion at a certain mastery level to play. So you already need to have so many champs to play ranked, why not have an Elite mode where to play a champion you must have it at a mastery level 3 or higher or played so many games that season. Or simply on a base line, they are required to HAVE PLAYED THE CHAMPION AT LEAST ONCE BEFORE. [vlad-salute] Thought #8 For some of these ideas that would certainly lengthen Que times, maybe have an option to dramatically extend the initial "Accept" to group Que timer countdown. Make it 30 seconds or a minute instead of 10 seconds. If it is dramatically going to increase the chances that the game won't be dodged and the team mates will be higher caliber, I'll happily wait the extra minutes. [slayer-pantheon-popcorn] Closing Thought Obviously none of the above is going to "fix" League of Legends but maybe improve. I've played casually since 2012 and it feels like the community is getting worse as it's getting increasingly popular and the player base grows. There are many tips and guides on how to view your team and dodge if they are obvious trolls/bad players why can't Riot weed some out? I get it that things will never be perfect but when 1 in 5 games (yes that's 20%) have a player that blatantly throws the game (troll/afk/DC/etc), what are you supposed to do? I get it that the best thing is to simply play one of the dozen or so hyper carry champions that are broken and can just 1v5 at any point but I figure Riot could do better than that given the games vastness.

If you read this far, note this is meant to be constructive! Let's all play better!

Thought #1 I have a tough time believing that somebody who trolls and get's banned regularly and that makes an infinite number of accounts actually spends any money on the game. So either you want to make LoL not f2p or you want them to have to worry about an additional server for each region. Exactly how would it be laborious to create a new account? What about family relationships or personal? Maybe siblings have to use the same card for games, or even let my gf use my card so we can play. Spending money doesn't mean people aren't toxic.

Thought #2 In Korea from what I've read individuals have a personal account number they use to get online with. So maybe provide a server or player class level where you need to provide some other kind of secondary information that uses perhaps your ISP provider, phone number or some such. Something other than just an email address.

They use the equilvalent of SSN and I don't want that number to be connected to a games database. ISP you might be fucking over dorms, internet cafes, and families. Phone number is used for Clash, but it isn't like I can't use a friends number who doesn't play to make another account.

Thought #3 The honor system does nothing. I've been level 5 since mid season and the rewards are non existent, flattering icons though they are, we still get constantly grouped with people who have honor levels that are non existent. Please, group us more stringently by our honor levels otherwise what is the point of it anyway?

Rewards are there, I would love more key fragments or something though. Grouping games based on honor level would be horrible imo. Effectively you are making a prisoner's island for lower honor levels and smaller pools for the others.

Thought #4 Please penalize ranked less when you lose a game from a team mates blatant DC or AFK and penalize them more.

Because everyone has control over every possible circumstance that could lead to dc or afk. /s. It sucks but lets not encourage people to gang up on someone to reduce lp loss.

Thought #5 Make Auto-fill OPTIONAL in ranked. Obviously, if you want to Que faster, you enable it. If you don't want to Que as fast you don't enable it. Everybody wins. For some people who are stubborn let them stay that way and wait it out. Talented people who can multi-role play games faster. Ignoring this for time being due to how the new ranked system is set up. May be completely irrelevant.

Thought #6 Please add a MUCH longer delay before accounts can play ranked games! The speed at which people can level an account to troll/sell is ridiculous.

Too soon, people bitch; too late, people bitch. Speed isn't going to make a difference.

Thought #7 Try out a game play mode where you have to have a champion at a certain mastery level to play.

Because champ level/mastery does not equal being good at said champ. As for play the champ before, maybe they have a way back when or on another account.

Thought #8 For some of these ideas that would certainly lengthen Que times, maybe have an option to dramatically extend the initial "Accept" to group Que timer countdown. Make it 30 seconds or a minute instead of 10 seconds. If it is dramatically going to increase the chances that the game won't be dodged and the team mates will be higher caliber, I'll happily wait the extra minutes.

How exactly is a longer time to accept a game pop going to reduce dodge and give "higher caliber team mates"?

Oh no, you have shit luck that we should base all on decisions on. 20% for some random person getting a bad game. Lets completely ignore other data from other players that may show less than 5%. Or better yet, just grab numbers from our asses since we are more likely to remember negative experiences instead of positive.
