Can anyone explain these email to me? Riot is confusing me? Is this a scam? Emails inside.

So I havnt played league for sometime. Its been like years and years. Anyways I tried to log into my account and It said I was perma banned. I sent riot an email asking what happen and they sent me this email about third party.

Your account has been linked to suspicious activity surrounding account selling and the use of third-party programs, sometimes known as bots. Suspensions applied to accounts for this reason cannot be lifted. If you believe this ban is in error, feel free to let me know and I'll be happy to look into the matter for you. Please know, however, that it's unlikely that the decision will be reversed.

Now when I follow that link its tells me pay this 55.00 dollars and your account will basically be unlocked. Now what im confused is the purchases says on dec 11. is the day I emailed the asking about the account. And why does one tell me its banned for third party which the only third party ive ever used was Skype. Anyways im just curious it all seem really odd to me. Im just looking for a explanation.

At this point, call riot call their support staff before you do anything. It is best to talk about this on the phone with them.

Your best bet is to contact Player Support through the ticketing system. The H&S Boards is unable to assist with account related or sensitive information. Best of luck!

If there are any kind of payment issues or chargebacks you have to repay the money before you get your account back.

Where are you seeing it is from dec 11? The pasted thing says june 2012.

It kinda sounds like your account was stolen over the time you weren't playing though.

On the chargeback website it says Dec 11 for both. Like when i follow the link.

Ya its kinda weird. I have never seen a message worded like the first one. You probably should ask support for clarification.

Are you the original owner of your account(you created it)? Do you think the account was stolen while you weren't using it(did your old login work or did you have to recover the account)?

I don't think i did, i think i changed the email just because it was a old one. And yes i am the creator of the account.

Now the link they sent me with the chargebacks says 0.00. And they account is still banned.. they changed it.. Im so confused.

If you click the link it shows you the amount due for the account you are logged into, not the amount he owes.

The link is not tied to any account. It just shows you the amount owed for w/e account you are currently logged into.

Maybe its just a sign i shouldn't pick it back up. I really wanted too but its seem to sketchy now. Like they wanted money and now the money is gone but the account is still banned.. Like an hour ago that link said 55.00 now it says 0.00. I just don't see why Riot refuses to help there players who support them? They refuse to help..... There is something clearly out of place here.

There are 3 people that are sound like they are the same person here. The original poster(GjCwCJzF5d), Poconos, and you(JohnyDingo).

I think you lost your old name because your account was inactive, so the account was given the temp name(the gibberish one the thread was started as). Then im guessing when you logged in it let you change it. Then, well I dunno where the 3rd one came from. Maybe when you first logged back in it took over the account name as the summoner name then changed it. I donno. its giving me a headache though lol

You definitely should ask support for clarification. I think you will find if you check the balance again in a couple hours or in the morning that the original balance of 55.00 will be back. There is clearly something weird going on with the name change.

Commonly, they will sell the account for the price of a name-change after they've used bots to get it to lvl 30. The only reputable character in his situation is Itachi, who he got into contact with through League's site. Itachi is the one who can sort this out and help the account be protected from being compromised again.

Standard operating procedure in this scenario: Change passwords on every email account you own, then change passwords on any compromised site (in this case, league). Assume social media sites and financial sites (important personal information on facebook, HSBC, etc) is also compromised and needs new passwords.

That is what I was thinking for a bit, but the link asking for money is a legit page on riots website.

Do not pay! It sounds like somebody brute-forced into your league account, used a bot program, and then sold it to somebody who may have used a stolen credit card (and the credit card owner had the money charged back). Riot then perma-banned the account (being used by other people at this point).

Instead, get in touch through league's official website with support and report a scam. I would say to get back in touch with Itachi, as he's clearly the official Riot employee and ask what can be done to unban your account and create a secure password. Also ask about 2-step verification; I have russian people logging into my EA account all the time (even after password changes), but they don't get in because I get a code sent to my cellphone.
